it sounds like a snake, IMHO

Lol, Slytherinmouth.
Yeah Chanfest. It is great that you realized that Yale is the only place to be. That is why you need to shut your mouth and leave this discussion. It is sad that you did not realize that fact earlier on in your life. The fact that you are totally lost in the room totally dedicated to Yale minds is even worth funeral tears.
Guess what, there is a place for you. If you wait and listen to others around you (not on this site or thread), you will hear whispers. I hope your pinna is big enough.

Yale is made of gold, and you are made of old. That is why LUUUKBEYYUUUHHND needs to look bold and make sure his crap is not sold so that he will join the bluewhite fold.
The future leaders will go to Yale and they will rule you. Can anything be better than that? Your pocket will work for me, and you will work for your pocket.

Deal with it.

Whoa.
Yale fanaticism.

I don't get this thread. On the one hand, you keep saying Yale is the best over and over again. On the other, you're asking for one- liners about Ivy League schools. What is the point of this thread? I mean are you being sarcastic? Don't really understand

You shouldn't idealise something too much before you actually spend some time experiencing it. I mean, I love Yale and everything too but I give credits to all the arguments against Yale when they make sense and prepare myself for all possible mishaps. I think most Yale admits are rational people, and fanaticism and rationality don't seem to go together haha

This thread is pointless. Yale is a great school, of course (it's an absolutely wonderful school, actually), but Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, etc are all also absolutely wonderful schools.

Yale seems to be characterized by gushingly enthusiatic undergraduates. LOL
I am not implyng this is a bad thing.

Gold star for BigG for making the first sensible comment on this thread. You don't have to agree with it, but at least it has a bit of substance.

I'm pretty sure my 3 word reply was extremely sensible, thank you very much.

But anyway, this thread is kind of pointless... Yale's awesome, but there are other places in the world that are amazing as well. gasp.

^Haha, true, your reply was good.

The 'unique' characteristics (a.k.a stereotypes) can be described in lightbulb jokes that were posted here some time ago:

How many Princeton students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two -- one to mix the martinis and one to call the electrician.

How many Brown students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Eleven -- one to change the lightbulb and ten to share the experience.

How many Dartmouth students does it take to change a lightbulb?
None -- Hanover doesn't have electricity.

How many Cornell students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two -- One to change the lightbulb and one to crack under the pressure.

How many Penn students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Only one, but he gets six credits for it.

How many Columbia students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Seventy-six -- one to change the lightbulb, fifty to protest
the lightbulb's right to not change, and twenty-five to hold
a counter-protest.

How many Yale students does it take to change a lightbulb?
None -- New Haven looks better in the dark.

How many Harvard students does it take to change a lightbulb?
One -- he holds the bulb and the world revolves around him.

^Haha

t e n c h a r

I love that.

Haha. That should answer the question!

Smile, I agree. vicariousparent hit a home run, and we can now close this thread.

I so love Vicariousparent
that is what this thread should have been.
I confess, I made a mistake by hammering the other schools
I am wrong, and I admit that. I am also sorry to those who I insulted. I do not take sarcasm easily and it threw me.
My true intent was to get people to fire the best of the other Ivies to my comments. I think my comments were too strong. I am sorry for all that.

COULD WE PLEEEEASE MAKE THIS WORK NOW. IT WILL BE FUN.

Maybe, I do not know much about the other Ivies. I know a lot about Yale and Penn. That is it for me. I am biased and that is wrong. I am sorry, truly.

i think more people have answers to the question, and there is no right answer.

We started off on the wrong foot. All the other schools are good I know that. As a soccer fan, I am a die-hard fan of one team and that is it. It is a lesson I have learnt to keep.

Hope that we can keep this alive. IVY SPORTS, IVY EDUCATION!

I love how we're all so shocked that there are Yale fanatics on a Yale forum...hmmm....

Also, ChandlerBing, fabulous screenname (:.
