(Secondary School applicants/parents should read this , too.)

Wow. I hadn’t read that. Thanks for posting it. I found myself feeling kind of sad after reading it. I wish all these kids could focus on finding a place that suits them as they are - rather than try so hard to get into places that may not. And that they could realize their own strengths may not need to be showcased in such a forced way.

(Before anyone flames me, I did say “MAY not”… :)

There is already a thread started on this.

<a href=“FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for a one week essay writing camp??? - Parents Forum - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1659817-fourteen-thousand-dollars-for-a-one-week-essay-writing-camp-p1.html</a></p>

Cringe…

Good lord. Why?

@sally305- I did see the CC thread but felt the posts harping on the 14K boot camp missed the message.

Also, many who read here have yet to wander over to the main CC board.

And, yes, <<cringe>></cringe>

I wasn’t suggesting that you not discuss it here…only pointing out that there is already a conversation going on.

And yes, the idea is completely cringe-worthy!
