The Journey Class of 2020 ... Denials, redirections, etc.

@WhiteRaven1 , have you contacted the UArts theatre office and let them know you’ll be there?

I’ll pm you.

Is there a thread (with a list only) for Final Decisions Class of 2020??

Final decision thread is here but it is NOT a list only; it includes background information.

In the past there has been a list only thread.

Hey guys is there a group me for accepted students at Fordham LC, that will be attending this fall ?

OK, D just received her HS yearbook and has 11 days of school left!!! This is getting all too real, tearing as I write this!!!

The one good thing about this horrendous process is that it does take your mind off the fact that they’re leaving.

Yesbut all these end ofy ear high school events that make me tear up are blatant reminders!!! We were in a restaurant grabbing lunch and she showed me that she is part of a University of Tampa FB group with other MT girls, yuppe, tears came!! She was like what?? But it made me so happy that she is already connecting to her new tribe that the tears just came!!! I am guessing as she is my baby, I will do this a lot between now and when she goes!! lol!!

Stop making me cry, y’all. Want to stay in denial as long as possible…

I am just starting this process with my Junior d and I am already crying.

I’m counting the days - LOL.

Amen @Joyfulmama - I cry over everything my kids do… and graduation will be rough, as will, the eventual launch!

I find second semester senior year (and the summer between HS and college) to be a time my kids REALLY test the limits. Maybe God’s way of saying - time to let go.

Hahaaa sorry @choirsandstages !! @sleepymom our school does a graduation mass the night before graduation and this always gets me!! So I kind of get it all out that night and can just smile at the actual graduation. But my little clutch will be packed with tissues!!
I have one across the country, one in college a few hours away and now my baby will be off a plane ride away!!

No doubt about it, I’ll be a sobbing mess come graduation day!! And then in the fall my “baby” of the bunch will be in New England while my other two already reside in Chicago and L.A., while we live near D.C. I need to dive into some hobbies, stat! Lol!

Hobbies… or time to write that novel! I got it–a murder-mystery. The main character can be a mother who stalks kids who are applying for MT, then flies around the country figuring out ways to get rid off candidates who might be competitive with her darling daughter! Looking forward to the Unifieds chapter when she tries to hobble as many candidates as she can, right before the dance call! (The Texas MT Murdering Mom (as a follow-up to the Texas Cheerleader Murdering Mom–one of my all time favorites!)

I just ended up working more…and oddly enough, we needed the money.

My husband of almost 2 years was assigned a church two hours away last summer. I will be spending the next four months getting my D ready for college AND moving things one carload at a time to the parsonage. My D goes off to school on Aug. 28 and I close on my house Sept. 1 and move to be with my husband. Talk about a swirl of emotions that I now have to deal with, with the college thing finally settled. I’ll be posting about our journey through the process soon…

@claire74 Hahaaaa but it sounds like you have that story a little too much thought!! Hmmmm.

Cap & gown came in the mail and I cried…then she got mouthy with me and asked me for money and I said yep time to fly little birdie your driving me nuts…so many mixed emotions!
