The "Legacy" thing

How big of a deal is the "Legacy" thing at Hamilton?

Are you referring to the school’s acceptance of students based on family history? You don’t have to have legacy status to be accepted. Most students aren’t legacy. Its not an issue on campus, or in the community.

How much does it help if you have multiple-generation legacy status?

WELL… studying usually pays off, so why don’t you rely on that? I know several legacy students and all of them worked for their grades and excel in classes and the community. Honestly, if you are relying on legacy status to help you get into Hamilton, its probably not the school for you. The classes are very rigorous and challenging. Good luck!!
