The likelyhood...

Does MIT accept average applicants with no extraordinary achievements. Lets say decent SAT scores (high math score- total of about 2250), rigorous courseload, more emphasis on science and math, math club, science club, some volunteer work, NHS; but like no major major achievements. Any of you who got accepted fall into this category or know someone who does. By the way I will be apply next year, which means there is time for more improvement. Any time will help. Thanks for the response.

I was accepted with those scores and no math/science EC's.

I think 2250 is more than just decent. I had a 2100 and got in -and I am Asian.

thanks for the reply; so what made you stand out then or why do you you they accepted you over others who had major achievments.

I got waitlisted with a 2020 and I never won any major award. I'm also an Asian male. I don't know what they saw in me, but I really want to go and will do anything right about now.
