The long wait ahead.

@Saer: That sounds... confusing but it sounds like a good read (assuming you are a good writer.)
@Brett1927:Unfortunately, I don't know which school has a better studio arts program. Also, this is a prep school cafe and those are colleges.

It's confusing but not. Even simpler: Young girl grows up to be the king's savior, an old and sacred honor, through luck and magic.
Boy, it sure does sound stereotypically... Bad. lol
I'm still doing outlines and the like.

A novel...that's intense. Writing is almost spiritual for me, but I can't imagine ever (attempting) to write one. Good luck!

I love writing... Here's a sample from an exercise I did for a friend. I wrote about a season and age, and the defining moment from that time for me.

(sorry it's long!)

Summer, Age 13

I remember sitting on the couch at Wayne’s house. I almost wrote “my” couch, but back then we still lived in the blue house downtown. Wayne’s couch, however, is a masterpiece of furniture. The right combination of support and softness, it was the perfect place for a nap after a sun-soaked afternoon by the pool, or to spend the night when my mom decided she didn’t want to drive downtown.
I was sitting on this wonderful couch, with a phone on my ear, practicing my new right as a teenager (I was 13 now, remember?) to gab on the phone for hours. What was odd about this was that I wasn’t talking to a girlfriend or anyone I normally would talk to for hours about nothing and everything. I was talking to B, a boy in my grade who I had started emailing and calling back and forth almost every day that peaceful summer.
This sticks in my mind not because of the actual moment, but of the years that followed. That summer of calm, that moment of pure peace while talking to a friend (who thought we were more than friends), was the last season where I had no drama, and absolutely no high school idiocy to disturb me.
It was over too soon.

@Saer: That's good! It appears that you are a good writer so I'm sure you're novel is excellent.

I like to write! I only posted that little bit because I know just HOW annoying it is to hear, "I'm a writer! I can barely string together two sentences without making your ears want to bleed, but I'm a WRITER!" because that's how my friends are, and I'm not. Some of them have genuine skill with prose, others write stereotypically bad stories with Mary Sue, perfectly-perfect antagonists... Puke.

Haha, I know EXACTLY the kind of people you are talking about. That is such a good description.
I ought to attempt a novel, even though it seems rather unlikely that I would finish.

I'm not worried about finishing... I'm worried about making it GOOD. I wrote fanfiction way back when, and it was semi-popular on fanfiction.net, but dear God is was so horrible. I don't know how people could stand it.

Saer Emeric - FanFiction.Net

Yep... Those horrid stories were mine, back in 2005-2007.

Saer,

I would definitely say you deserve to call yourself a writer based on that passage you posted. I haven't checked out the FanFiction page, but I can't wait to see what you start writing while at BS!

HAHA don't check the page! Your opinion will be ruined!
I would love to write, but especially explore other artistic (musical, visual arts).

I'm going to check it! I'm going to check it!!
Haha don't worry I won't. I'm sure they aren't too bad since even a terrible story like that can be polished somewhat by a good writer.

Actually, I loved the story, I wrote like a 4 year old!! I was 11, actually, and my understanding of grammar, spelling, and temoral-space relationship-dynamics within a story were extremely skewed!!

Hahaha, how interesting. I didn't read it but if you had support from the site then I assume it was quite good (I'm trying to guess the maturity and intellect of the people on the site but I don't want to actually look at the site...) For an 11-year-old's story to be followed by more than 2 people is pretty good, haha.
I love how this post has gotten so big =)

I know we've drifted away from the original reason for this thread, but if you have any ideas of what to do in the time remaining then please post them!!

GET A BOYFRIEND. Haha, well, actually, get a date. I now have a countdown til Friday the 13th, when I shall be watching Friday the 13th in the theatres!

SAERBEAR!!
(Um, okay... I'm addicted to the show Scrubs, so I call everybody "Bear" now, lol.)

Your chapter never arrived :[.

Hahahaha Grumpy Galletas (Grumpy Cookies) is our bearbear. random facts! haha...

The chapter did not arrive? Poo! I'll send it soon.. Not now, I'm exhausted... lol

I challenge anyone who reads this to invent a new instrument!! Haha, if you make something or anything post about it on here!!
Also, in your spare time you should listen and play music!

I feel like playing basketball. A LOT.
