<p>Hi! I'm pretty new to CC. I've been researching a lot on the schools I'm interested in and it seems like everyone surpasses the average gpa and/or test scores. I just want to hear from the people who were on the lower end of stats (GPA, scores, class rigor) who got in to top universities and why you think you got in! I'm very curious!</p>
<p>Usually, those get it with below average admission stat would be in state students, have strong EC or hooks, legacy, URM, or recruited and write excellent essays…</p>
<p>This website represents the very top of college bound seniors - most posters here are not your average student and most aim for top 50 or above universities. </p>
<p>However, the bottom 25% is pretty hairy though and unless you’re something billcsho mentioned above or recruited for a sport or something, you need to put yourself in that middle 50% score range of schools to feel comfortable. </p>
