the luck factor

I heard many people say that there are people who get into UCLA with low SAT scores----1400's in the new SAT

Did you or do you know of anyone who got in with low SAT scores

can you state any reason they might have been accepted.

I definitely want to know if any engineers got in with the "luck factor"

thanks in advance

my bud got in with 1600, hes bizecon

another bud got in with 1800, i think, bizecon

Usually people with low SAT scores had either a very very good reason they had them, or they had a remarkably high GPA. If you don't have a high GPA, there's still a small chance that your Personal Statement will resonate with the person that's reading it, especially now since one person reads your entire application (previously it was 3 different people).

Yeah. One of my friends was Valedictorian and took around 10 APs. Her SAT score was around 1700. I know someone else with a 16_ _ with around 3.6 with just about every AP under her belt. She had OK EC's. IDK, random.

i know some1 w/ a 1700 something who got in w/ good essays, ecs, and 4.05 gpa in a competitive OOS high school...
