The M10 Freak Out Thread Applicants 2015

Yeah my interviewer for Andover wasn’t the most encouraging one Ive interviewed with. The best by far was my interview with Exeter, Ms Down, even though I didn’t go through with the application.

The Andover extension is literally saving my life. My English teacher and counselor still haven’t submitted their recommendations yet.

I think that it may also have to do with the schools downloading the materials at certian time. (The date and time discrepancies in Gatway that is) does anyone else know is the recommendations take a while to show up as updated?

Gateway immediately shows submitted once the recommendation has been submitted by the teachers.(At least that is what happened for me)

Darn, one of my teachers has accepted the request and two have started it. The other two haven’t a done anything and I’ve asked and reminded them as much as I can without being overbearing and pushy so I guess I’ll have to just wait and hope that they do it. Here’s to anxiety!

How did you guys submit you standardized test results? I only have acess to my scores on the back of my transcript and college board won’t let me have acess.

@Addie1643: I’m an eighth grader so I just submitted it online from my SSAT online account. It has to come directly from the testing company. I’m sure College Board has an online account to send scores somewhere. EDIT: Here it is: http://sat.collegeboard.org/scores/send-sat-scores, and then https://account.collegeboard.org/login/login?idp=ECL&appId=115&DURL=https%3A%2F%2Fnsat.collegeboard.org%3A443%2Fsatweb%2Flogin.jsp.

Though wouldn’t you have had to make an “MySAT” account somewhere to register for the test itself? Or did your teacher/guidance counselor just register for you?

Andover’s SAT School Code is 0156. https://www.andover.edu/Admission/HowToApply/Pages/default.aspx

Oh thank god!

And guess what? I dropped my new IPhone 6 into a puddle! The world seems to love me these days!

When do schools start looking at applications?

Between now and March 9th-ish, ajsmiles12. Ready to let you know on March 10.

My interviewer said she “lost track of time” so I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Like, did I talk too much?

no it is fantastic. It means that you had more than enough to talk about and they were genuinely interested

I found something to terrify us even more until M10. ~X(

Ah… I remember the carefree days when M10 was months and months away… now here we are…

And it is only going to get worse. :-&

Is it good if my interviewer called me “interesting” three times during our interview? She said it with a smile. It seems rather cryptic.

Don’t overanalyze.

Don’t torture yourselves, guys. No amount of agonizing will change the outcome. You all worked phenomenally hard to come this far, and probably learned a lot about yourselves in the process. At this point, it is in the lap of the gods (and the AOs!) Be proud of yourselves, and go have fun doing something that IS in your control. Don’t second guess yourselves. Breathe!!!

Britmom5 is right. There is nothing else we can do.

Look at it this way - there’s a 5-week gap between now and the next round.of decisions (from 'oh no! - now what?", to ‘which of the acceptances shall I take’ and ‘what do I need to buy for my dorm’. This is a month of relaxation, no decisions and mental rest! Have fun with it!
