Haha, words of wisdom collegehopefull. I did think my Yale supplement essay was particularly strong... but pretty much every single Yale applicants' essays are amazing.
I'm really not optimistic but if I get into Yale I'll be the happiest person in the world.

Don't stop, never give up, hold your head high and reach the top.
^Yeah, son

︿
The day they canceled "SClub7" was arguably one of the SADDEST days of my life. Lol.

"Steps" was clearly the finer of the two Brit-born musical disastros.

my D got into 2 safeties( FSU/UF) she is for sure now, going to college!!yay!! but she isn't at all excited, she wants Yale or Princeton so bad!!!!! i'm preparing myself to confort her, i don't want her to be hurt and sad.. i hope at least Georgetown will accept her( praying!)

I got into UT-Austin (my safety) forever ago, but I'm still waiting on their Liberal Arts Honors stuff....

someone clarify this for me, but I read that admissions decisions are mailed and posted online on 3/15/2009?! & that the admitted students day was 4/7/2009.....=X

E-news updates

E-news updates
i read on this site that admissions decisions are mailed/posted online on March 15, 2009...is this true?!

omg wow....i havent even thought about sclub7 in years.
i used to love that show and their songs.
what ever happened to them?
i remember they went to spain and one of the members left i think...

^ That's for the Div. School, guys.......

30 days 1 hour 7 min 40 sec .... wow.. that's still a long time away (although it's relatively short...)
So what have all of you guys and gals done to pass the time? I'm stuck counting all 300 neophyte and member hour sheets for NHS... plus a few poker tournaments here or there.... ;)

I just watched The Wrestler. Darren Aronofsky never ceases to amaze. What a film.

Icestorm, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm feeling a huge SERVER CRASH + a de ja vu of what Yale gave EA admits on December 15th... many people didn't get their results until 8 pm, 9 pm...

Don't plan on getting those results at 5 pm EST. Just a fair warning.

so to make sure
3/31 at 5.
how does everyone know its at 5...i just remember seeing afternoon.

I think they said somewhere that all the Ivy League decisions will be up by 5, but I'm kind of hoping only a few of them will come up at 5 because I don't think I can handle 5 rejections all at once in the span of 5 minutes.

One month to go! Can you believe it's been 2 months since we hit that submit button on the Common App?

God...a month isn't long.
I'm not expecting to get in really. I would be out of my mind happy if I got into any of three of the four schools I'm waiting to hear from, but if I don't get into anywhere else, I think I'll be perfectly content...after the initial hurt of rejection that is.

@ cafesimone, oh ya, I'm feeling the same server failure as well! :) I just felt like continuing the whole "countdown update" of this thread. Yeah, 20,000 some students trying to login to the same site at the same time... I'm not so sure if their servers could handle it.... Anyways, it won't be the end of the world if I have to wait til the next day. I've already waited 3 months what's just a day more? ;)

Oh, it's so much more fun to dream of getting the results at 5 exactly on the dot!

I like my chances but all the same I've already taken out my insurance policy because I've been with these parents for 18 yrs, watched my brother go thru it, and I know what's gonna hit the fan!

Rejection insurance: for when you don't win

5 o clock is such an unromantic time to get rejected. Or accepted. Blah. Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen got to find out during SCHOOL and they live on the East Coast.
