II will be graduating from Rutgers (RBS) this spring as a double major in finance and economics with a 3.3 gpa. I've held a full-time job as an assistant manager at walgreens working 35-40 hrs a week. 6 yrs work experience, 4 of those years learning how to run and manage a business and people, (I'm now 22). Time management is the only way I made it through. I have been strongly considering going into my schools' MBA program with a concentration in supply chain management. My dream job is in the consulting/supply chain field. The program is 12k a semester (commuting from home), and I hardly have undergrad debt so im looking at a little over 50k in debt at graduation which I consider minimal all things considered. I have read numerous threads on this and I understand the arguments against it. I personally would not like to put my life on hold for two years, pay more down the line as costs are only getting higher,.possibly have to relocate or leave whatever undergrad job I landed which will probably be more than the 40k I would give up with Walgreens by just going into the MBA and networking now. I've read that it is often more difficult for an MBA with no "professional" experience to get hired but I have no problem taking a lesser paying job for 2-3 yrs and then maybe leave the company and generate the same salary as other MBAs. Is there anything im missing? Things to take into consideration?
