I'm on the 100 meal plan, yet I'm still concerned that I'll have like 20 meals or something left over at the end of the quarter. I feel like I have to push myself to eat enough food to make up for how much I paid for it (meals are worth $5.75, right?), so 1 of these meals has always been enough to last me through the day. The obvious solution here is to eat smaller meals, but I just kind of feel like I'm wasting money (I try to limit meals to ~300 calories... :X Freshman fifteen scares the **** out of me). Uhh, I don't really know what I'm trying to ask for here. :V Anyway, I guess I just want to read some clever ways to get the most bang for my buck.

You can’t really get more bang for your buck… unless you eat more. Or stock food.

Some ways to use remaining meals are…
Just go to socialize w/ hallmates or friends.
Find a friend that looks like you and let them swipe your card.
They set up donation swipes to homeless shelters? or something like that at the end of the quarter.

u threw away half of ur panini =3=

There’s a Fall deadline where you can switch your meal plan to the lesser. I think it might be where you drop off your payment for housing in the student center. I barely missed it last year and ended up with extra meals for winter and spring. I was on the 100-meal plan as well.

I thought the 100-meal plan was the least it could go. I’m on the 165, and at this point, I’m just saving up for weekends, because the 165 guarantees 3 meals a day, for weekdays, but not weekends.

So, I’ve been skipping meals here and there to keep some for the weekends.

YEAH, I KNOW. I FEEL SO BAD. ( つ Д `)

Indeed, the 100-meal plan is the smallest one, and I’m still having trouble getting more than one meal a day. I would gladly give them to other people, but there’s that damn limit of five guest meals per quarter. Hmm… I guess I’ll search for somebody that looks like me, haha.

Yeah, that 5 guest rule is soooooooo dumb. What a waste. If you’re more daring than I was, a lot of people would just secretly pass their ID behind them to their friend after they are swiped in. Also, they almost never check your ID either. Although it feels less risky when you have someone who looks like you just in case haha.

300 calories per meal, 3 meals a day is 900 calories a day. That is scary and inadequate.

Well… I eat a snack, so it’s usually 1,000 calories a day. :3c Also, I’m really lazy, so I hardly burn up calories. Believe me, I’m not freakishly bony or anything.

Shouldn’t you have roughly 1500 calories a day though? Assuming you are a girl. Males would have even more. >____>

Eh, I always thought that eating your weight x 100 (in calories, obviously) is adequate enough. Yeah, I’m guessing that males need more than that, however.

50kg female eats 5000 calories… pro. My kinda women! (that is to say, someone sorta like me, weighs a little eats a lot in this case… ALOT)

Give your ID card to a friend. They NEVER look on the ID to see who it is anyways. Usually towards the end of the year, after repeated swipes, the ID pictures rubs away and becomes blurry, so its not like its gonna be obvious that you aren’t the person XXXX.

I’ve done this before–used my friends ID to get meals, cause I was running low.

Errr, this obviously isn’t a health forum so I won’t go any farther than this, other than pointing out this website and many others that suggest 1300-1800 calories for a 100 lb girl, depending on your height and age ^^; [Calorie Calculator - Daily Caloric Needs](<a href=“Calorie Calculator - Daily Caloric Needs”>http://www.freedieting.com/tools/caloriecalculator.htm)

Anyways yeah. The best time to hand your ID to a friend is when the lines are long. They basically swipe as many IDs as they can, as fast as possible.

Aha, of course the “weight” is meant to be in pounds, not kilos.

Yeah, I did notice that they don’t look at the ID card whatsoever when they swipe it. That’s good. I’ll have plenty to share. <3

Ooh, thanks for that website, Cookie. I guess I was wrong about daily caloric intake. I’m actually sort of tall for an Asian (5’7"); I guess height is a much bigger factor than I thought. Still… yeesh, 1,300 calories!? :O
