Indeed, but I think the Formspring fad has been dying as of late due to this.

Formspring encourages narcissism. That’s why people want others to keep asking them questions - it makes them feel important.

^ On a related note, I hate those things that ask you to answer questions about people. And those things where your friends answer questions about you, but you have to consent to the application to see what they said.

The most annoying thing in the world has two phases:

I and my gay friends sometimes post statuses (or photos or links or notes) in which we reference the fact that we are gay.

Someone - often a FOB - inevitably posts a comment along the lines of “im praying 4 u” or “b careful u will go 2 hell.”

It’s really very simple: if you’re so offended by it, just defriend me. It’s not like I want to be friends with ignorant jerks anyway.

One of my gay male Facebook friends won’t get rid of all the homophobes (most of whom he is not related to) on his page for some reason. I don’t go on his page anymore because I can’t stand to read the things they say to him. Once I tried to defend him, and one of his “friends” responded by calling me an “indirect agent of The Enemy bent on spreading moral relativism and lies.”

I don’t like the fact that Facebook chat freezes or is not working very often.

it’s turning into MySpace 2.0

MissPickwickian, uh why don’t you just defriend those morons? And your buddy ought to do the same.

The other day I went through and deleted most of the people I was “friends” with on Facebook. Now the only friends on it are people I know somewhat well. I also deleted most of the info about me (things I like) because I’d rather not have Facebook make money off of me. My privacy settings are pretty ramped up too.

It’s just annoying how with every update they always try to make you put all things on public.

And Facebook Chat blows.

I deleted my entire account last week and recommended friends from my old account to my new account. So far, I have cut over 250 people off my list.

Weird how we accumulate so many friends?

The worst thing is when

SOME OLD PEDOPHILE GUY THAT I DONT KNOW TRIES TO ADD ME.

I REJECT FREIDNS REQUEST

HE REQUEST ME AGAIN TOMORROW

SOOO SCARY

LOL. That’s funny.

Collegenewb you can block that person.

I’m Awesome!!

x300 times…

I haven’t joined FB yet…I’m very tempted though. I want to keep in touch with my group of college friends who are scattered around down south :(. We have agreed to write letters though :D.

I have a lot of issues with, as many others have pointed out, the lack of respect for users’ privacy…once that information’s in the “cloud”, it’s stuck up there =p. Be wary of that ;).

^ You can still join. I just don’t put a lot of information in my profile and I just go on there when I get notifications in my email about someone writing on my wall, sending me a poke, or sending me a message. I don’t even update my status anymore because I don’t have anything interesting to share with anyone and just don’t care.

Hmm I just realized that there’s this person I’ve been hanging out with recently - we’ve been out to eat a couple times and gone to a concert, but neither of us have added each other on facebook…and I know she has one because we’ve each checked it on our phones in front of the other one before, weird Meanwhile, random people I never talk to from my college add me all the time.

In general I don’t use the site much anymore for reasons listed in this thread. It was more fun in High School tbh.

Another pet peeve: I decided to log on today (after like a week) and found a message stating how I should change my password because someone may have hacked into it. What the heck? I had this happen to me last year and I changed my password and made it even more complicated so that it wouldn’t happen again.

I get random friend requests, but I just ignore them. Someone requested me because they saw that I listened to this band, but no where in my profile did I list that I liked the band. That freaked me out o_0

“once that information’s in the “cloud”, it’s stuck up there”
your usage of tech buzzwords fires me up

What ****es me off is when it suggests friends for me who I have NO mutual friends with.

Recently I’ve had a bunch of people from Czech Republic or something add me and we have no mutual friends in common, that was weird.

fires you up in a good way I hope =o

Those stupid fan pages that point out the obvious or just really unnecessary things, like “I hate it when people … … …”

Those " I hate it…" pages tickle my fancy, especially when you see: John Doe likes ‘I hate it when …’ :)

“Those " I hate it…” pages tickle my fancy, especially when you see: John Doe likes ‘I hate it when …’ "

Lol I guess it’s a way of learning about people, and about what not to do when around that person :D.
