<p>The business major is very popular with some students. Some are attracted to it because of the money involved, some the "easiness", some think its a good substitute if they aren't successful at other "tougher" majors. </p>
<p>High school rankings in specific business majors could also be a factor.</p>
<p>What I would like to know is, What business majors happen to be more of the popular ones at your university? As in, what major would you find the most people working towards</p>

<p>At any business program, it will be accounting and/or finance unless your school is very specialized in something (e.g. Babson's entrepreneurship).</p>

<p>hence the quotation marks around it IMO, But, there has to be some reason why people from different majors go into business as a plan B, right?</p>
<p>I would say because after graduation one would have more opitions with a business degree. Even in college a lot of kids don't know what they want, so they go with a generic major.</p>
