The National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi, at UC Berkeley

Since I didn’t receive any responses at a different discussion (uc berkeley room), let me try this in this discussion room…

Received an invitational letter to join in the above honor society. The letter sounds this society prestigious that only selected Cal students get to become a member. Do all students whose GPA is 3.3 or above (one criteria for this society) receive this letter or do they really select students to invite? Can any current cal students, Alums, or cal parents tell me? Thanks.

My son, who is a junior at Roanoke College in VA, was invited to join The National Society of Leadership and Success. He joined last year as a sophomore. He had to attend one workshop and three speaker series (on campus) and had to write a reflection for each speaker series before being inducted. Roanoke College held a reception for the students who were inducted.
