The New 2007 USNEWS rankings

I saw that, but the person who initially exposes the list as a "hoax" says nothing to back up his assertions. On the Brown board, someone else posted the same list independently of this thread or auto admit, so, while we can't be sure, we can't dismiss it either.

The list is wrong. I have a copy on my desk right now.

Mind sharing how you got that? ;)

^I second that

Well I definitely like that list better! Chicago finally movin on up as well as Wesleyan...but yeah where'd you get it?

wow, that list is almost perfect

HYPSM at the top, with Cal Tech
Then Penn, Duke, Columbia, Dartmouth

I'd only argue, like I always do, that Brown is still too low, but other than that, its probably the first ranking in a few years that there won't be many people whining about

That list makes more sense to me than the first one, based on the movement in the LAC rankings.

Sounds like it's made-up. Nothing as to how he got that list, plus if he were copying it from a magazine or another source the numbering wouldn't be wrong.

if you dont mind could you share the rest of the list up to 120.

Thanks alot

It's fake. Sharing anything won't help.

I guess, the only thing it would do was make the person think a little bit harder on how to rank the rest. The real person would put a list of all of them.

The numbering glitches are ties. Got the magazine at my local Barnes & Noble. They probably put it out by mistake too early.

I think UChicago is underrespected, but I kind of doubt that they would go from 15 to 8 in one year. Whatever you think of Penn, it was ranked 4th last year, so moving up to 3 wouldn't be particularly shocking.

I doubt Chicago would jump 7 spots and Penn drop 3 spots...changes that dramatic are uncharacteristic of the rankings over the years.

According to his list, Chicago is at 11th...I think that's possible, especially considering who was "above" it.

I didn't notice his edit. In that case, Chicago jumps 6 spots...still a dramatic change.

Both list seem bogus to me, first emory looks to high on both and tulane shouldn't have dropped on the first list.

Dramatic and deserved :)

Actually I'd prefer it if Chicago stayed right where it was...I don't want more people to clamor to get into Chicago since it moves up in the rankings...

the ranking seems too perfect if you know what I mean...
