i'm takin the new SAT this May n kinda have no idea wat n how to study for it..well, anyone can help? wat's the changes for the new SAT anyway? is the writing part the same as writing in SAT2?

okay, so they exapnded the math section to include 3rd year regular math on it (algebra 2) and ehm...the Critical reading section is "tougher" (i think)...the essay is from what heard like the SAT 2 section. No analogies!

I fing the CR section to be the HARDEST. To get through that, i suggest getting various Critical Reading SAT books...and ehm...taking all the practive tests.

For math...i dont think you need to do any special kind of review. just take practice exams.

May is coming up...GOODLUCK!

so u already took the new SAT this March? how was it? well, wat sorta books should i get for Critical Readin then? should i just do some from the old SAT?

ain't they the same? i mean those CR, what's the most obvious difference then?

The Official Guide by Collegeboard is the only book you should use. Take all 8 practice tests and your score will improve. Don't use crap like PR 11 tests

jrcho, how can you say that the collegeboard book is the only one you need to use? They teach you absolutely nothing, and provide no "tricks" to boosting your score. It is a good book to use AFTER learning from other sources, but not as a sole source.

I suppose that was an overgeneralization; i take that back. However, in my opinion, doing tests and going over your mistakes will boost your score. Besides, by going over your mistakes you can sort of see for yourself what kind of tricks you would need to use. It worked for me; however, it was an over-generalization.. i retract my statement "the only book you should use"
