Preparing for the New SAT

What's the best books, materials, techniques, whatever--to study for the new SAT? I have about three months to study...

Punkette, the following books I'd like to recommend:

The Official SAT Study Guide for the New SAT, College Board

Cracking the New SAT with Sample Tests, Princeton Review

Verbal Workbook for the New SAT, Barron's

Kaplan New SAT Math Workbook

You can order these books from Amazon.com, and find all the technics and tricks in the books. The best way is practice, practice, and practice!!! Good Luck.

Get the books above and start with the official study guide. The tests are great. I am just doing practice tests vs. reading/studying and I think it is working well.

How do you trust these books??? They just want you to buy the product. They don't even know what exact questions are going to be on the test. Whats the point of buying these books anyways. Some of them actually have old SAT questions or written ones based off the old SATs, but how do these companies know whats on the New SAT. I never really thought of this until my history teacher told me today... so yea.

your history teacher = dumbass, tell him I said that.
The first book on that list "The Official Studyguide for the New SAT" is full of tests written by ETS who writes the SAT and put out by Collegeboard who administers the SAT, I dunno how they wouldn't know? The book is full of actual SATs created with the experimental section taken out. The collegeboard book consists of 8 practice tests. If you get it, sign up for the explanations and essay grading online, it is awesome in my opinion.

And...so what if the questions are recycled a bit. Very little has changed. Verbal dropped analogies...everything else? Pretty much the same. Math got a bit harder, some new topics. Everything else? The same. The writing? Simply a transplant of the SATII. These companies DO know how to teach the material. They've already been teaching the majority of it for years.

Anybody has a copy of the October 2004 SAT test that they want to sell me ? Please send me a private message.
