The North Face

Ok, i heard many of you wear The North Face Backpacks. These backpacks are above $70.00 Anyway i got the Optimus Model. Do you guys have alot of people at your school that wear these backpacks?

...I'm confused as to what you're asking.

...no?
Everyone at my school uses different types (plus whatever they use for their laptop).
I'll just stick to my jansport- I trust it from not breaking.

Yus.

Pretty much everyone at my school uses Jansport. They almost never tear/break and they come in all sites of pretty colors.:)

My school has a bunch of Jansport users as well. There are a few that use nothing (they either don't bring their books home because they don't do their homework, or they carry books). We're not allowed to carry backpacks through the halls at my school, so some don't see the point in having one at all. I, myself, am an avid Jansport user.

wow, you guys can't carry backpacks through the halls? Crazy...we're not there quite yet, though there is a rumor going around that they just installed cameras in our quad. Not sure how true that is though.

people here have "North Face" (we don't use "the") jackets, and wear them from september 1 to june 20. I don't understand how a jacket can keep you warm enough in the winter but light enough in the summer...it seems uncomfortable on either end of being too hot or cold.
I haven't actually seen a north face backpack, mostly people use jansports or ll bean. Jansports have a lifetime return policy, if you care.

Oh, I love my Northface jacket! It really can be used year-round. It must have something to do with the fibers in the fabric they use, but it works. I usually wear a winter coat during the winter, and I'd probably wear a winter coat on top of it in sub-zero temperatures, but I could wear just the Northface.

Oh, and we call the jackets just Northfaces too.

It's not for security purposes, or at least that's what they want us to think. They just claim that the hallways are too small for the traffic going through them, and backpacks would make them more cramped. Which is true, to an extent. It's just inconvenient.

Most people at my school have North Face jackets and backpacks. I might get one but they're really expensive for a backpack.

I used to use backpacks made from skateboard brands (since I used to skateboard), and they suck. Mine broke after a year.
Now I used a Jansport, it is pretty nice. Plenty of storage room and lasts a while. Swiss Gear is also pretty common at my school, they are nice too.

I Love The North Face Backpacks!

The back packs r tottally not worth the price b/c i will and have found ways to destroy every back pack i owned in a yr(school yr +summer camp right afterwards)and yes ive destroyed Jansports

i do have a north Face jacket ive had for 3.5 yrs(they went into style 4-5 yrs ago) and i love it but its getting warned down my mom promised me a new one on its four year anniversery of having it(i got it for Christmas right after my 1st brain surgery)

u make me wanna go downstairs and get it and wear it..but its to hot out..now as im talking i would feel sad about giving it up i would probably donate it in my local diocese's clothes donation bin so i don't feel bad

My school isn't the richest school, so it is very rare to see a lot of expensive brand name clothes. I have a North Face jacket, but it took awhile to save up for it.

Most people have north face jackets at my school, but not backpacks. It's almost a neccessity to have the jackets in Chicago. I've seen a lot of jansport and eastpack backpacks, but not north face. It's not really a trendy thing at my school to have a nice backpack. As long as it can hold a lot of books, then it's good to go. Otherwise, you don't really need to spend $70 on a backpack. The most I've spent on one is $50.

most people have llbean backpacks at my school

both the jackets and the backpacks
the backpacks are expensive, but really durable, lots of pockets, all that good stuff.
of course I gave mine to my little brother a year ago...I just use a tote bag now.

and EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE, has a Northface fleece. you really can wear it all year round, I have no clue how that works though. Obviously, when it's freezing/snowing I usually wear it underneath a winter coat. The best thing about it is that it is casual enough that you can wear it during school...like a sweatshirt. And during soccer if it is really unseemingly cold (morning games in november are not fun) we often end up wearing them underneath our jerseys (and look like fat puffballs but at that point nobody gives a damn)
I think I need a new one though...mine is getting a bit small.

I didn't even know they made expensive backpacks. I got mine at Wally World last year for $8. But we can't carry them at school either, so I don't have a need for a nice one. I'm not really sure why they have that rule since my school has never really had a security problem...
