Did they specify how many international students applied to UChi this year?

I am just wondering how late we are going to here back due to the extension.

@emmestar UChicago has said a bunch of times that they’re not anticipating pushing the decision date back due to the deadline extension. If they started reading applications on the 1st, I’m sure they had more than enough to hold them over until the extended deadline.

As for numbers, alumni email reported “another record breaking Early Action cycle with over 11,000 applications.” Suggests that final EA number for Class of 2019 was a small increase over last year’s 11,143. Still a questionable comparative metric given that Chicago practices non-restrictive EA, rather than the restrictive EA or ED systems that are more common in this weight class. Also questionable to the extent that it feeds into perceptions of the institution’s appropriate place on some dopey list. But, it’s a metric nonetheless.
