the people taking it on a later date will have a different version, right?

Yes they will. Everyone taking this version has already finished, so I don’t see why it matters if we discuss it.

because sometimes they reuse the questions.

ugh, that was impossible! especially MC!!! i was unsure about half of what i put down, skipped 5

and the 2nd essay was beautiful. gorgeous.
organization problems on the DBQ
last had some incorrect info (eek!)

What ****ed me off was when my junior friends told me the DBQ was over Slavery and stuff…REALLY? That’s so simple! If that was the case on mine last year, I could’ve made a 5 instead of a 4…
Mines was over the Vietnam war, which we didn’t even cover in class!!!

GL with your scores to all who took :)

what if you have incorrect information in your DBQ? will that severely lower your score on the dbq?

I’m so glad I’m done with APs. After Lit and USH back to back, I don’t know if my hands can take much more.

Depends on significance and degree.

If it’s a minor spelling or naming issue, (SALT I vs. SALT II, for example) like a mislabeling, then it can be glanced over.

But if an integral part of your thesis is incorrect…then absolutely not!

I butchered the name of a treaty I mentioned… haha, ooops… didn’t think I’d ever actually need to know that one… I hope they take what I wrote in spirit. My spelling on all the essays was horrible. I bet that’ll hurt me.

Also, MC was… eeeehhhhuhuuhugh. I hope I’m not the only one it killed X(

how hard do they grade the essays? Like what would be a 3 DBQ? Or a 9 DBQ?

^ My teacher, one of the official test graders, says she very rarely, (like can count on one hand) ever grades an essay as a 9.

when will we find out our scores?

really? the highest you can get on a DBQ is a 15.

^ what? it is graded on a 0-9 scale…

Dang, with this limited call of 9’s, I’m worried my DBQ might fall in the 5-7 range. >.<

Personally, i thought it wasnt too bad at all BUT im EXTREMELY stressed out on the fact that i ran out of time at problem 65 or 64…[it had to do w/ Rosevelt Corrolory)

This rly ****ed me off b/c i studied a lot in areas of FDR, WWI, WWII, Cold War, Communism, vietnam, truman, LBJ, all that…

i knew pretty well everything b4 WWI but my main knowledge was excellent after that…

i kno i nailed the essays… i chose the formation of the rebuplican party and the effectiveness of labor unions during Gilded Age [knights and AF of L]…

My US history teacher said that if you dont pass ur M.C., u dont pass the whole thing which includes ur essay…

My question is however, is that statement true? I was rly mad at myself for not knowing that the clock was behind me and those dumb attendents didnt say anything like “10 minutes left” or any of that like they did during the essay…

a lot of ppl complained that the test was hard but i thought it wasnt TOO tough… i just hope the curve thing will help me slightly…

i have to get 49 correct out of 80 to pass on M.C., but i hope they take my essays into consideration…

if you change your mind about an essay you want to answer and you cross out the essay (I started maybe two lines of it) and the number you circled, can that hurt your score?

Don’t worry, as long as you get over 60 right on the multiple choice and do well on the essays, you should get a five. Multiply your raw score by 1.125, the DBQ by 4.5, and the free responses by 2.75. A 5 for 2001 is over 114, but to be safe, try over 120.
I thought it went extremely well for me.

on 2006, a 106/180 was a5.

??? i had no idea you werent required to use all the documents in the DBQ…whenever weve done one in class were supposed to use all of them. damn. i think my DBQ wouldve been a lot more cohesive/ included more outside info if i left out one or two. ah, well.
