you did, but if you did not do it in 1 or 2 its fine.

the MC was harder than the 2006 Released AP exam. the DBQ was alright, and the FRQ were easy

Does anybody think that the severity of this test was a result of Crash Course, because I thought the test was pretty narrow in scope?

Az you’re supposed to cite the documents after you incorporate it in the essay.

Yeah, uh, I didn’t cite mine explicitly either. What do you think they’ll do when they grade it?

i dont think u have to… bc ive read dbq’s in class that dont and use them but im not totally sure

how many wrong can you get for MC and still get a 5?
like 15 wrong?
i’m pretty confident i did well for MC…
essays weren’t very hard, but can someone tell me how they are graded?
i wrote decent essays with the basic points and some good proper nouns but idk their standards, i get A’s on all my english and history essays but i got an 8 on my SAT essay…

Overall, the MC was not surprising to me. Our teacher used very difficult MC exams for each set of chapters therefore these questions seemed like a piece of cake. Some of the very detailed questions today were very similar to the ones we saw throughout the year. I don’t know how this MC compares to previous years, but it seemed just fine.

Essays were good as well. DBQ was unexpected, but some quick thinking turned it into something good (at least I hope.) And the two FRQs seemed a little bit too “basic”?

depends on how every one else did.

totally agree with red fox the MC was not bad, but the DBQ was strange, Slavery?

I thought the MC was extremely easy, of course there were some that may have tripped anyone up, but that’s to be expected, you’re not SUPPOSED to know all 80 questions. There were about 10 that I left blank, out of those 10 I did my best guessing and answered about 4 or 5 because I could eliminate answers, so overall I probably omitted around 4,5, or 6, can’t really remember. The essays were DEFINITELY generous, if not FAIR, they could have been a lot harder. The DBQ question was a little awkward, it took me a little bit to think about what they wanted me to talk about in my essay. As for essay #2, I talked about how the French and Indian War sparked colonial agitation, and then on from there with the usual sugar, stamp, and tea taxes, then boston tea party and smuggling and finally intolerable acts, etc. Not much legislation could be used on essay #5 if you picked African Americans and Japanese, for Japanese you could have used that one court case, but I forgot about it. I talked about internment camps and how they were later compensated (I wrote they were compensated in the 90s, then found out it was 1988, hopefully that wont be too much of a problem for the graders). As for African Americans, I wrote about their migration to the North for economic prosperity, apparently you could have said increased membership into the NACCP or a court case that said blacks couldnt be excluded from political parties. I’m hoping for a 5, but wouldn’t be too upset with a 4.

^joker23, that what I thought too about the DBQ. I could have understand if the moved the period to a later time frame, but what the question they asked was DIFFERENT to say the least.

I have a couple questions concerning the essays, i may have screwed up severely.

On the DBQ i totally nailed it, probably 8, maybe 9…but i included the Emancipation Proclamation and said, “Even though it came after the fact…” so would they really care even though the question said only go to 1830?

On the free response #4 i wrote that the unions were trying to decrease unemployment being caused by the Depression. After i wrote the entire essay i realized the question said only go to 1925, but it was too late and time was called.

So am i completely f’ed…how much will my scores go down?

does anyone know for sure that we have to explicitly state “doc” whatever in the dbq?

Same here, I thought the DBQ was a bit strange compared to last couple of years.

Multiple choice was DEFINITELY harder than past released exams; I skipped two and probably got ~10 wrong.

Essays were ridiculously easy compared to what I was expecting though! Expecting a 5, but wouldn’t be surprised with a 4.

I think the MC was harder than both past tests I was given. I got like 15 wrong on both those.
But today’s concentrated a lot on labor, quotes, and books instead of policies and events.
There was very little about the presidents and a lot about social issues.
I thought my essays were okay, but I’m freaking out because I don’t think I did too well on the FR. I think I chose the two hardest essays though (3 and 4). I started making stuff up about the unions though. I said AFL didn’t use politics and the KL did…ugh for getting it backwards. I wrote less than a page because I couldn’t think of anything. Do you think I can still get a 4 or 5 on the essay?

Yup u have to say some thing like this, as pointed out by document A, dont worry do its over with now, and anyways sometimes they over look that if you were that good.

Tennisplaya: I’m pretty sure that they highly recommend you cite where you get your document info. I wouldn’t think it will severely hurt your grade though.

are you for sure joker?

frqs were soooooooo easy. i hope i did well on the dbq. mc were okay… four maybe?

yes, my teacher, who was a scorer told us. She said “always, always state your document, thats why they say reffer to the documents in the beggining of the question”.
