Test this Wednesday; I must be ready!

Just took the practice test at 11. Got a 210. Hope this isn’t a real indicator of my scores; I massively dipped on W (the last section).

Just took last year’s PSAT test. Scored a 223 (68-76-79). That one mistake on math was frustrating lol…

I’m not ready at all. Seriously! I took a practice test out of mcGraw Hill and basically I bombed the critical reading section. The writing was easier than I expected. The math was pretty hard, but not really. Definitely scared of the PSAT!

Why doesn’t the Collegeboard provide an explanation for number 15 in the Critical Reading section?

<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

The explanations jump from 14 to 16…

Hi. Im new in the forum. Well, I’ll really be brief: Im an alien in the U.S. and I just started my sophomore year in the country. Ive got the credits of my previous schools and all that stuff.

Im pursuing a higher education level, and I want to tell myself well, and if I can, apply for one of those schools of the Ivy League.

The staff of my high school has never said anything about these exams: the SATs and ACTs, but by my clandestine researches I just know that these are important; so to speak, for college. But the problem is that I dont know anything more about these exams, how they work, or how I can ask for them.

The mainly things I want to know about both SATs and ACTs are:

What they exactly are (Every detail is important to me).
How important they are and will be in a future.

Knowing this I could ask right questions in my school, because its very frustrating to me not to have a single clue. I just want something to start with.

Thanks, I guess :p

^ I sent you a message

Sent from my iPod touch using CC

Guys there is not point in practicing for the PSATs… they don’t even count for anything

I actually got wrecked on a practice PSAT, just making the cutoff. Hopefully I will be on myg A-game on Wednesday.

I got a 234 on the Practice PSAT that your school gives you. :D

Cali cutoff finna get murked.

I thought that one was rather easy. 2009 Wednesday, right? Yeah, it was easier than most of the ones I have taken.

The Practice test raped me :.

damn, sucks man…

I was just happy that I got only -1 with a stupid mistake in math where I calculated the probability of something NOT happening. Usually it’s like -3.

I’m a Junior.
I’m definitely aiming for Finalist.
I finally took the practice test today and got a 232. Other than that, I’m just freaking out.
Why? Because IT’S IN 2 FREAKING DAYS. scared face

That test was definitely easier than most past tests…

^Yeah I noticed that too.

Just took it and thought it was pretty good. Probably gonna have insane curves now :(

^Exactly! I was like “ohh this is really easy which means either I got this COMPLETELY wrong or we are going to have EXTREME curves”

Don’t trust McGraw Hill practice tests. So many of their questions and answers have been considered to be too ambiguous. Their critical reading and writing sections suck. Use something else. The college board has the practice ones they give out, which you probably already did, but after that I suggest PR.

Just a sophomore so this test really isn’t all that important to me. However definitely aiming for a 200+ so it’s easy to reach my cutoff score of 220… -.-" . I think McGraw hill is pretty good. PR is really ambiguous in my opinion.
