NoFx, you must bring him to me! x]]]]]]]]]! Just playing lol

I have a Jansport backpack (one of the airlift ones, don't remember the exact model) that I brought before my freshman year. I'm going into my senior and it's still holding strong and quite comfortable on the shoulders as far as a backpack goes. I also have a normal black Icon bag for my laptop.

Might replace both with a laptop backpack this year, even though both bags are still in good condition. If I do it will probably be another Jansport.

I'm heading off to college next month too......and I just bought a Nike US Campus XXL.....sorry I can't find a picture of it online. ~_~

I'm not even going to buy a bookbag...haven't worn one since freshman year...it's too early to think about school crap anyway...ughhhh...

bah, i've had the same backpack since 7th grade, too. its kinda ripped, but it's sentimental. i should get a new one though...its an eddie bauer dark green backpack that's amazingly still intact after 2, 3 years.

should i get a new backpack, or keep my old one? get a messenger bag??

This is the backpack that I'm getting! I can't wait... lol I think the flames look cool and I've never seen anyone with it before. :D

I bought a new backpack today... It's a red Quiksilver laptop backpack and it set me back 65 euro.
My old bag just died... It was a blue and navy Billabong backpack that I got at the start of my last year in school. 4 years old... not bad.

rainbow kirby

I'm curious what college students use for their backpack. Can u post a picture by any chance?

I don't have a picture...
It just looks like a normal backpack tbh... (which is good for me because I live in a rough area and I don't want to advertise the fact I have my laptop in my backpack).

I don't understand. What other kind of backpack would a college kid be using? A normal backpack, perhaps? Or maybe a backpack to fit their laptop in? Oh my! I wonder! What a mystery!

^^ I'd want my laptop to fit in the bookbag, in the first place. I heard a lot of stealings in the dorm....~_~ Laptop comes in mind in the first place.....then my books.....I can't afford to pay the three digits for things I lose.

we have to have mesh bookbags at my school, but i deface mine with as many patches i can possibly fit on it.

<3

Why do you need a new one?

i dunno. maybe its time for a new change. mine is pretty old and kinda ripped, and starting to smell. =\ haha

Grade: 12
Backpack: The New North Face Recon... I love it

I agree with the poster who said this thread is depressing.

Uuh...I'll be a junior, school starts either the sixth or the seventh of September (I have to go a day early though for Link Crew...OH FUN!), and I'm giving my ol' reliable red Jansport backpack to my brother and getting a messenger bag. It's the wannabe hipster in me. =P

As for what college students use for backpacks...from my observations, I've seen everything from using high school backpacks to messenger bags to hiking packs. It varies. A lot.

Go for the biggest one. I bought one of the biggest Jansport offered last year (at the time, at least) and it's huge. It cost like $70, though. $$$ I'm gonna use it again this year.

Grade 9
Backpack: North Face blue/grey jester

My Samsonite only lasted one year, and the strings started coming out. My advice: get Samsonite for luggage, not backpacks. Although my old Jansport was great. Ive used it for up through grade 7, and it still looks like new. It got a little small though...

ha ha ha... suitcases, and you were joking. i actually used one when i was in elementary school (in an Asian country) and again in freshman year.

i'm in grade 12. when my backpack broke midway through junior year, i replaced it with a soft portfolio-type bag (i suppose a messenger bag) that i got for free from chicago tribune. i was hesitant at first, but i ended up really liking it. i also use a knapsack to make even the weight.

keep it going.
