The Official Berkeley Class of 2012 Thread

Congratulations to everyone who is planning to attend! I commend your decision well made..

Don't forget to join the facebook group: Login | Facebook

Your homepage for the next few weeks should be: <a href="https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp%5B/url%5D">https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp</a></p>

Feel free to share your prospective majors, which housing you're applying to, what you like about Cal, and so on and so forth.

Cheers!

I'll go first - I've applied for Undeclared - Haas, planning to apply to Unit 3, but I'm still not completely sure yet.

I'm so glad I got into Cal; otherwise I wouldn't be as excited as I am right now :P

And, ugh, I forgot my passphrase. Apparently, they've given me the same Calnet ID (the one I used during Summer Sessions of 2006).

Oh, and I just signed my SIR :D + $100 deposit. Can't wait to get my Berkeley email address!

EECS. Foothill hopefully...and I don't think you forgot your passphrase, they just need a few days to enter everyone's data into the system. They say to try again later today.

I created a password 2 years ago, and I forgot it. They emailed me back saying they'd give me this token to reset my passphrase..

:( Not as enthusiastic as last year's class? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/377669-cc-meeting.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/377669-cc-meeting.html</a></p>

Maybe most haven't SIR'ed yet.

Congratulations everyone!

I just recently sent my SIR. I'll be majoring in EECS as well. I'm not so sure about housing yet (I'm checking them out in person on Cal Day) but from what I've read I'm thinking Foothill or Unit 3.

Congrats to everybody who was accepted!

I'm heading in as Undeclared - Pre-business Administration.

From what I've read, I really like the sound of the Units, especially Unit 3.

I can't wait for Cal Day! Who's going?

Going to OHP overnight the 11th and staying for Cal day.

yay i already submitted my SIR, applied for housing, got my berkeley email adress, registered for cal so, and i will be going to cal day!!! whoop!

EECS.

What's the CalSO good for?

What was the acceptance rate this year?

like 21% and calso is the student orientation

Welcome to CalSO!

CalSO allows you to register for 10.5 units early. $195 for that? No, thanks.

Is CalSO worth it? Is it mandatory?

It is not mandatory. I think some current Cal students can better answer the first question.

Bioengineering here. I'm thinking Unit 1/2 - sounds awesome!
Yeah, vicissitudes shouldn't be the only one - I say we get our own meeting going!

Sometime Saturday in front of Sather Gate? I'm down :)

yup unit 1 for me (hopefullly!!!) yaya!!

I won't be going till late summer :(

Speaking of Facebook, I've been thinking of making one.

When's a good time to start a Facebook, since it's mostly a college thing?
Should I wait till I get to college or what?
