I never took a tour when I saw BMC cause I visited over a break and school was out. So I guess I'm excited to see the dorms and take a tour and stuff. :) BMC in spring.... gorgeous.

Chat Chat Chat!!! Soooo excited!!

Brillar- Lancaster?! I'm going there in like a week and 1/2 for my social anthropology class...we're gunna be chillin with the Amish (p.s. I want to major in anthro at BMC [the anthropologist I intern for is a BMC grad so I get to talk to her all day long!])
...And I'm also doing a paper on the Chinese gov't! Mao's economic policies i.e. a lot of people died and then some more people died and then there were famines (it's kinda weird to think about the fact he was an ******* considering his name makes me want to make cat noises)

Oh and my fav thing about BMC like I said earlier is Philly and the consortium! It's wonderful how many colleges are around there (I have 2 friends going to Swath, 1 to Temple, 1 to Haverford, and 1 aquaintance to UPenn)
p.s. sorry for the random tangents!

wow...they bleeped me! I feel so dirty!

Brillar- Yup, Lancaster. The Amish are pretty spectacular. Get a wet-bottom shoo-fly pie while you're here. You HAVE to try it. Really. How long are you staying?
And hurrah, I finished my paper yesterday! Mostly, I had to talk about the current government structure and the CCP, but you can't exactly do that without mentioning Mao.

And I also love the colleges- I have a few friends at Swat too, and I know a BAJILLION people going to Temple.

Just got back from the chat!

brillar- Well, I'm going to be flying in from California. I'm sure that will be fun. What with the 2 (or is it 3?) hour difference. XD
How about you? From where are you hailing from? lol "Hailing" that's a funny word. =]

For anyone who was in the right chat at the right time, one word: HEDGEHOG

lol, yea i missed that, hedgehog? are you really considering a math minor? o_O

WINDSTARR!!! NORCAL OR SOCAL?

I would def consider it if I double minored.

chudiane- SOCAL! :D And from what I see, you're in So. Cal as well. ^^

oo what schoool?

when I think socal I think of one word...hella! I met a bunch of people from socal and that's all they said!

I had to leave the chat early...It was going so fast that it scared me but it was still beneficial!

I'm only going to be in Lancaster for a day so that we can meet the Amish (in a non-touristy way which is exciting). Even if it's a day it's still going to be gorgeous and the Amish will be amazing!

HAHAHAHAHAH nononooo hella is norcal. the socal-ers who say that are norcal-ers at heart xD i say hella sometimes xD and dude

yea, i feel soo bubbled. i don't think there are amish people in cali. here, at least in the area where i live, its like if you dont have a cellphone and at least 1 laptop and 2 desktops, its blasphemy. LA really does seem like the material world compared to philly the way you describe it.

OMG I didn't know there were other people on the planet who are as obsessed with hedgehogs as I am! I couldn't believe we actually were talking about hedgehogs! I LOVE them. Really really.

Amish Country + Lancaster = Amazing. Seriously. Look for a shoo fly pie- wet bottom! But if you can't find one, that's okay, because I'll be bringing some to college, haha.

Chudiane- Gaaaah I'm flipping out about finaid. I really want to start friending people and really really freaking out about BMC, but I can't be totally happy or excited until I get my finaid stuff! BLEH.

I f*ing love hedgehogs; they are beyond cute. Check out the breeder Hamor Hollow's website! They're in MA; I really want one. I almost sprung for a Jackson's chameleon this fall (there was a beautiful, healthy one for FREE on craigslist from a guy who couldn't take care of it) but unlike salamanders or hedgehogs, the chameleon can't really be left alone for even a night (my fam travels a lot) and requires that the tank's humidity and other levels to be constantly monitored. Somehow this seemed like it would be a gargantuan undertaking for someone just starting college to manage. :(
Hedgehogs (african pygmies) eat cat food (!) and are really cute, easy to care for and self-sufficient. My argument is I, a girl who has been on allergies shots for everything forever and who is allergic to most everything, can honestly say that 'hogs are hypo-allergenic, clean and should be allowed on campus!

I would definitely have one by now if they weren't illegal in PA- it's not the illegal part that makes them difficult, it's just that:

There is no where to find them around here (no breeders).

I don't know of a vet that would take care of an illegal animal.
(And the PA game commission... disposes... of them if they find them. That would be traumatizing.)

They are SO cute and they are SO much better than hamsters/guinea pigs. I love their little noses and their soft little bellies. GAH. ADORABLE.

awww, haha thats so cute..

brillar - YEAH! OMG! i called the financial admins yesterday and they said i would be getting mine sometime next week. (thats why i decided to go to openhouse regardless of financial aid..i hope it wont be a waste of $250 - which makes me somewhat happier because i thought it was goin to cost me $400..maybe the price drop is because of the dying airlines) you turned yours in a week later, so >< i hope it wont take them a week longer for you.

i just love all furry little animals in general ^_^

So do I!
Let's keep this thread going so the little dot next to BMC is allows illuminated!

Whoops! Perhaps it was Norcal...come to think of it I think the girl did say she was from the bay area! >.<
Anyway...I have a glass hedgehog on my desk! It's tiny and soooo cute! Unfortunately, though, I am a small, yippy dog person and probably couldn't take care of something that wouldn't yowl at me when it's hungry. (I have a mini hotdog [don't feel like looking up how to spell the breed] and an italian greyhound)

chudiane-Well, I go to University High....I sometimes question the name of my school. It seems a bit...ambiguous. I mean, "I go to University"...XD
What school do you go to? ^^

I am totally new to this whole CC thing, but I am so excited about BMC.
