Oh yeah, I should probably mention that I'm a white/asian multiracial (so no URM status, and come from an upper-middle class family (so no affirmative action), so I have to get in solely by merit.

Other potential choices: Harvard (1st choice, of course), Yale, Cornell (Legacy applicant), Cambridge, Oxford, Brown, maybe P'ton

so... please chance me for Berkeley (and my other choices too, if you will)! :)

signal2noise... your stats and EC's are quite impressive. 90% acceptance for Berkeley.

More than 50% chances for other ivies and privates

Ah, here we go (doesn't seem as though anyone else is posting).

dontcha: good GPA, slightly weak SAT, good ECs, okay honors/awards. It's going to depend on your essays, but I'd say high match (60%).

insta111: great GPA and SAT, good ECs, okay honors/awards. It's a match (70%).

whymaths: okay GPA (though a little below average for Cal), good SATs (except chemistry), and good honors/awards. Since you're an international, it's a reach.

calivla: good GPA and scores, interesting ECs/awards. I'd say match (70%), given that your essays are great.

creativeport: I'm not so sure on transfer admission, but you have a good shot given your GPA. Applying to Haas might make it a bit more difficult.

ali_asghar209: okay GPA, good scores, okay ECs. I'm going to say slight reach - high match (50-60%), depending on your essays.

valerina: okay GPA and scores; if your ECs/awards are as good as you make them seem, I'd say high match, though perhaps a match if your essays are very good.

pinkscarf: I think you miscalculated your UC GPA (it's capped), but regardless, you have a strong GPA, excellent scores, average ECs. Since you're applying for a competitive major, it'll be much more difficult, especially since you're applying to undeclared engineering. I'm going to say slight reach. I say this only because your ECs/awards don't make you stand out in an applicant pool for a very, very competitive major -- engineering is competitive enough, but undeclared engineering even more so, and Berkeley isn't phased by super-high scores. However, since your essays have nothing to do with engineering--which is important--it might be considered a reach. That might be your downfall. So it's 50-50.

shruthibaskaran: you're an international applying to a competitive major, and though your resume is generally strong, it's probably a reach.

signal2noise: Are you in-state? It's difficult to say, since I'm not familiar with the levels and such. You obviously have excellent scores, and great ECs/awards. Are you sure that you'll be considered a citizen? If so, then I'd say it's a match. If not, then it's probably a reach, though you'd have a good shot. If you're OOS, I'd say high match to match (~70%). It definitely isn't a safety.

creativeport: high GPA, you have a good chance.

ali_asghar209: decent GPA, good ACT scores, good SAT IIs and I think they only look at two. I think 50% chance.

Infusion: GPA looks shaky, SAT score is good, ECs looks scarce, 20-30% chance.

valerina: GPA, scores, all look pretty average. I'd say 50% chance.

pinkscarf: amazing GPA, scores, ECs, blah blah do I really have to do chances for these kind of people? :p Anyway, engineering undeclared is really competitive so I'll only say 80% chance for you.

Back to vacationing for me! I'll do some more later if I feel like it. ;)

kyledavid: yeah, I'm pretty sure that I'll be considered a domestic applicant. I've asked several adcoms from several colleges (including Berkeley).

Stats:

SAT/ACT: 2370 (800 CR/ 800W/ 770M)

SAT IIs: 800/800/800

GPA: 4.0 UW, above 4.5 weighted.

Rank: top 10% for sure. School doesn't rank, though.

APs: Calc B/C: 5, Bio: 5, French Language: 5

Course load: most difficult

Other stats: Qualified for AIME
