Just to keep you up to date:

9 Rejections,
1 Waitlist,
0 Acceptances...

Only 6 other colleges left. I kinda expected this but its harder than I thought

Wait-listed where? Dickinson?

Franklin and Marshall

DerDeutscheMann,

did you apply to Middlebury by any chance?

Yeah I did but haven't received any decision from them yet...After all this rejections I wouldnt count on middlebury to accept me. There are some "safety" schools left, but some other schools which I considered "safety" already rejected me so its open game now

Wait a minute...and you were nominated for Emmy or I'm totally crazy and making this up?

I'm crazy, right?

@PTI Congratulations!
@Der Deutsche Mann Admissions is a lottery for internationals, meaning you can't count on safeties. Good Luck for your other colleges. I'm sure you'll get in somewhere.

So far:
3 rejections(URichmond, Gettysburg, Amherst)
2 Acceptances(Quinnipiac, Grinnell)
4 pending.

I'm really happy about Grinnell, although it is in the middle of nowhere. Even if I get only rejections from now on(which is likely) I'll have one school I'd really like to attend.

@Iuleb:

Yeah I was nominated with a german tv show for the international emmy 2008. On the Middlebury accepted student site was a little ticker which said: Get to know your classmates....and one message was popping up: Emmy Nominees: 1

Either there is another applicant who was an emmy nominee or they just bragged with my aplication cause I just finished reading the rejection letter....dont know what happen there. Coincident?

_Silence: Congrats to your acceptances. Im on 2 waitlist...I dont think I will get in anywhere. Lost all hope now

^ Never mind my ignorance, but what is Emmy?

@ der deutsche mann
did you work for "geile zeit", „Richard Serra - Sehen ist Denken“ or "Das Wunder von Berlin"?
(DWDL.de - Drei deutsche Nominierungen für die International Emmys)

congrats on the emmy nomination! i'm sure you will get in somewhere.

Geile Zeit...was part of the main cast. Obviously not considered a hook :-)

@the game, it is the most prestigious award for TV productions. think oscar for tv fiction.

i saw your profile on some thread. i thought you were a very unique applicant, but asking for FA apparently is more of a problems in this economic turmoil that i would have expected it to be.

Yeah , didnt think that the financial crisis will hit me this hard...indirectly. Well, 3 decisions are still open. I keep crossing fingers.

Is this the American Emmy? I know it quite well, but I though maybe there was a different German Emmy. My bad

Its the International Emmy, awarded in New York annually but to foreign TV productions only

Wow...8 applications...8 rejections. It will be hard for me to cope with this.

I am going to COLLEGE!!!! Accepted off the waitlist at Bennington College with 100% need-based aid. I almost gave up hope when fate stroke me. Im freaking out completely

congrats! :)
