my online page says application inactivated… ***… is this a rejection, and did anyone else receive this message?

greenemeralds:

Agreed. Speak to a senior admissions official from now on and dont forget to get their contact info!

Havent received that message, mine is still under review

I know it says that Transfers will receive their housing assignment on a rolling basis, did anyone hear of an expected time frame from housing. I know Freshmen got theirs today and am anxious to get mine

Called Housing on 7/6 to ask about Daughter’s transfer housing. Was told by the student worker that though transfer housing is rolling, it may be as late as the beginning of August before she hears. They have apparently enrolled many transfer students for the fall and are working hard to accommodate the large numbers. She also told me that only sophomore transfer students will be placed in campus housing due to the large number of incoming transfers; I hope they will notify incoming non-sophomores of this fact immediately and offer assistance so that they can find appropriate housing near-by, if this is the case. We are fortunate that Daughter will be a sophomore. Good luck to all!

Thank you for your insight travlr! I hope i get somewhere affordable. Good luck with your daughter!

^ i second that sentiment, i’m a bit annoyed i’m considered a junior considering i only did half a school year, last year. ah well, to craigslist…

Has any other sophomore transfer not received their housing information yet?

Yes; daughter is a sophomore transfer student and has not yet received housing information. As a sophomore she is guaranteed housing which is reassuring, but it definitely is getting too close to the move-in time and too far past when we thought we would know where she is living for us to feel comfortable. Daughter is out of town and email access all summer so I have been in touch with Housing on her behalf. They assure me that they are working on it (last contact with them was last week) and that they hope to have her settled at a location soon. I know others in her position have received their assignments, but as yet apparently they have not found the right match for her. I did verify with them that they have her housing request but beyond that all we can do is wait. Be assured, though: you are not alone!

Does anyone know where the best place to get an apartment would be? On campus or off?
