The Official "It's Monday and I don't have my letter" Venting Thread

I LIVE IN ARIZONA.... how long can the postal service possibly take?!?! I assumed that a) living so close to California and b) With Sunday as a psuedo-mail day that I would definitely get word today.

All day everyone's been asking me about it... all day I've been waiting to check my mail... and now.... nada.

Funny story: I was with a friend when I checked the mailbox. When I opened the box, I could see a large white packet lying face-down under the mail. I got excited and quickly snatched it out and slammed the mailbox -- turns out, it was a stupid calender that my dad had ordered. My friend has been laughing about it ever since... ;)

ARRRRG STANFORD WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME?

i live in ohio, but i just got into the university of michigan today, so im pretty chill about stanfords pending rejection/deferral

when did you apply for u of m?

Ahh, to make things worse, I just found out that a good friend of mine (who lives where I do) got his letter today. CURSE YOU USPS :)

ahh i really hope that the rejection letters are the late ones!! eek

Don't you mean "are not the late ones"? I hope so too! :D

Maybe they are sending you a gift basket :)

if we don't have letters, does that mean we're rejected? meh...

I live about 20 minutes away from Stanford and I haven't gotten anything either...

Yea, that's what I've been thinking, but there have been SOME deferrals and rejections on the east coast (just not enough to alleviate my fears).

I live in Hawaii and I haven't gotten anything either. Some people I know in SF got their replies on Saturday -- both rejections and acceptances. Its extremely frustraing, but I think the mail system is just against us all.
