Actually, I’d take this as a sign that he is being seriously considered. I would not pin hopes on it, but it’s certainly more positive than radio silence.

Waiting for M9 and M10 is like waiting for Christmas or a fun event. You might even start a countdown. But then after, you’re like, “huh. it’s over.” But just like Christmas, we are hoping for something positive to come out of it. Just something to think about.

No, but my dad grew up kinda close to NY. And also, ya know, the Yankees have only won 27 WORLD SERIES!!! How could you not like them? 
But I love NYC. I kinda wanna live there when I’m older. Either there or London lol i’ve never been to London
When you live in the Boston area, it’s quite easy not to like the Yankees.
I also need to point out that in this century, the Red Sox have won 4 World Series (including being the reigning World Champs), while the NYY have won, um, one.
@CavsFan2003 several of my friends who are also applying to Loomis received a call regarding changing from 11th grade apps to repeat 10th grade apps. (By several I mean 5+), I’m assuming that they are already very full for 11th grade, and from what I was told during my visit there, unlike Andover, Choate, Deerfield, etc., Loomis has very little room for 11th grade students in general, this is probably why they are contacting so many applicants. I was also told by an AO that Loomis has had a particularly high number of applicants this year (most likely due to a higher ranking and increased marketing). From what a current alum/interviewer told me, this will DEFINITELY drop the acceptance rate this year.

I’m definitely a Yankees Fan! But I’m mainly one because of my dad. I’m not exactly a jock lol.
@CavsFan2003, I would still take it as a good sign because I also know 2 people who applied for 11th and have not been called. I still think that your chances are high because all 5 of the people I know who were called were extremely well qualified and had a hook (2 athletics, 1 legacy, and a speech and debate champ and a crazy talented artist.) Keep in mind, they all went to different schools, so If I were to guess, and this is pure speculation, Loomis is probably making calls trying to find ways to still accept all qualified applicants they want when there is just simply not enough spaces left. (Hence the shift from 11th grade pool to 10th). I wouldn’t worry to much about it as you are probably going to have a good news on M9! Good Luck!

can i just throw out there that i’m slightly annoyed by the schools posting on their instagrams saying that their students should welcome the newly admitted students when there’s no newly admitted students because decisions haven’t come out yet
@muchanxieotea They’re just getting ready. Eventually, there will be admitted students.
My dad got an email from SMS saying I’m “very strong” in their pool and asked him for extra finaid documentation so they could be prepared to support my aid. Don’t want to look too strongly into this, either, but I’m getting sort of excited

Is everyone receiving different emails from schools? I haven’t heard anything from them at all and I’m kind of nervous looking at the threads.
(I don’t need FA and I put repeat 10th on the app, maybe that’s why?)
