We just had a huge scandal. A white student in my grade said a really rude, racist thing to our drama teacher, who’s black, and it led to…so much stuff. We ended up having a walk out. Oh, and today that same student called our Spanish teacher, who’s Colombian, the b word AND said that gay people are disgusting. The first part was in the news. Oh, and did I mention the student hasn’t been punished at all?

These things happen. My brother went to Loomis, and he liked it a lot, but there will always be idiots. Long story short, someone carved a swastika into a desk. And that’s Loomis.

Dear god. That sounds awful. There needs to be some justification. Our school had a seventh grader who played a Russian word on google translate that sounded like a racist slur over and over again to a black girl. Nothing has been done, and as far as I see it, he’s still reigning.

The thing that baffles me is that they got ACCEPTED. You look at some incredibly talented people here that don’t get accepted anywhere, and this is how they make use of this truly exceptional opportunity.

I’ve always been confused as to why there is so many racist people at these schools with such a selective process.
Loomis is a great school. They have a good community and good teachers. Don’t let those kinds of people ruin your expreience

Those people were picked over someone who could’ve actually contributed to the community.

I’m not going to let one obnoxious student ruin my perception of Loomis, I’m sure everyone else is amazing. Just a few problematic ones.
