yes, it was pretty hard to let them go.
Hey, I know one! Incoming 10th! I’ll PM you her insta.
Anyone else take their placement exams over the weekend? No joke huh?
I might take mine this weekend. We have until June 1st and my last ap test is may 27th, so I might just wait until AP hell is over and do it last minute.
I took mine like 3 weeks ago.
I already took mine
Forgot some people were in HS lol, I was like “APs in 8th grade??”
Yeah, they were so long, my Latin one was like 45 questions and the majority of them were translations.
my french one was 100 questions, 32 chem, and 30 math.
Wow, my math was only 20. But still translating 25 paragraph long latin passages was not fun. The again I’m entering 9th grade and you’re entering 10th, right?
yes
i’m in 8th and in apush
Yeah, I am taking AP History on the side this year, but they said “exams” so either they’re an eighth grader taking multiple APs or they are a high schooler. I took the latter to be more likely.
over the summer, not currently (in reference to the last post)
i couldn’t imagine taking an ap history course over the summer. there’s so much reading to get done over 10 weeks. at least you won’t have to study for the exam.
The program informed me that all of my daily reading time and more will have to be repurposed into history, I’m fine with it though (for now lol)
Yeah I’m currently in 9th lol
Fair warning: there is a lot of content in ap history. That means lots of reading and memorizing. But a huge part of the course is the writing skills you need. I enjoy writing and have always been decent at it, but I was less prepared than I thought I’d be for how difficult DBQs, LEQs, and SAQs can get. My teacher is also a little over the top in terms of the amount of content we went through (even more than is covered on the exam - we basically took an ap world and an ap euro class in one), but it’s pretty intense either way.
Any other Blair commits out there? There is an Instagram page for Class of 2025. blairacademy_classof2025
I’m starting to look at the flights to Switzerland and omg, they’re so long! It turns out that my local airport made all flights to Geneva and Zurich seasonal flights, so I now have to go on two flights and a long car ride just to get to school this fall. This is crazy!
