<p>yeah, Akhtar’s awesome. although, i kinda feel bad for the guy. his career’s been interrupted for his supposedly ‘suspect’ bowling action, steroid use and physical exhaustion-related issues among other things. he’d be much better today had all these things not happened.</p>
<p>i’m surprised India hasn’t included Irfan Pathan in their squad. they desperately need another specialist bowler. with their current batting line-up and a semi-decent bowling attack, india would be unstoppable. they just really need to do something about their bowling.</p>
<p>I personally think Ashish Nehra is a better choice. I agree, we do need to do something about our bowling…like dropping Piyush Chawla for a start. Zaheer’s good, Munaf is accurate and with Nehra, I think the bowling attack will be decent. </p>
<p>Yeah I feel very bad for him too. He’s getting older and he seems to have lost his former energy. I feel that Shoaib Akhtar is a prime example of talent wasted. If his career had not been interrupted in the middle, there’s no telling what he might’ve become. </p>
