@cool39 hahaha, yes. kind of. I’m one-fifth of the 5-member Pak Team, and my school (lgs jt) beat kgs in the final of this year’s Nationals.

that’s kind of like my main extra-curricular activity. what about you?

@alibhai… did you apply ed anywhere? coz i hear you got rejected from stanford? is that true?

@Arsalh- no, no. I hadn’t taken my SAT IIs then. Someone from bdc who had the same SAT score as I did applied to Stanford ED so that’s why you’re confused.

that’s probably because your SAT score is synonymous with your identity in Lahore. :p

@ InVeritas… are you from beaconhouse margalla campus?
I heard the boy who got harvard likely letter also got accepted
to mit. So 2 from beaconhouse, Isb this time?

Nope. I’m from Choueifat and that’s what I heard too. But both of the acceptances are US nationals.

@alibhai
Well!,my extra curricular roots are deep into the math/science realm.

Did any of you guys go to Psifi 2012 by any chance?

@alibhai oh right and thats because there arent too many geniuses with such high scores :P

A friend of mine got into MIT, so add that to the list. From beaconhouse.

which beaconhouse branch ?

Margalla campus, Islamabad

I don’t know what’s up. Acceptances are very generous this year as compared to last year. Last year almost no one got in anywhere which was really weird and this year everyone’s getting places. One Harvard, One Duke and 2 MIT from Beacon Margalla. And that’s especially weird because MIT accepts a total of 2-4 kids from pak every year and this year 2 kids form the same school are going which is just absurd.

Aaah…so much has happened, and I’ve missed out and all the action.
Do I even need to say how sorry I feel for those of you who were rejected? LOL. Especially you Usama, but I’m absolutely positive there’s a bit of sunshine for everyone at the end of this dark horrible tunnel called college admissions.
Its just so wierd to wait for DAYS for a decision to come out…and then one word ‘rejected’ and supposed to be the end of the story for you.
I’m not so sure it is. So hang on in there…less than two weeks to go!

BTW, a friend of my mine here in CIS got an offer from Imperial! Add that to your list if you like. :)

@suhail93- I was so eager to hear your fate at MIT…you didn’t state it explicitly here…is it bad news? :S
Hope not!

@gtfotu The one to Harvard is a US Citizen and 2 or 3 for MIT are also US citizens, so I don’t think they count as acceptances from Pak or as international applicants and Yes I have read your argument about the whole that it doesnt matter to be a citizen or not but still they aren’t in the same applicant pool as us.

oh, just saw your post Leo, haha, thanks for your kind words , its okay I guess, there’s much to look forward to. :)

No, I know the people who got accepted, none of them are US nationals. I mean, I’m a 100% sure about the MIT one because she is my family friend, born and bred in Pakistan, so that DOES count.

She also got into Imperial.

I didn’t say all of them, ‘some’ referring to your statement that there have been so many acceptances this year.
