Haha. It does have a few roots. My class is the 1st O/A level batch of Mirpur roots.

Carleton, bryn mawr, mount holyoke, trinity, Skidmore, Bucknell, union, Drexel, RIT, DePauw, W&L

Dartmouth, Yale. Just for the sake of it. I won’t get in. But I figured it won’t hurt to apply anyway.

wow, your extra curriculars are pretty impressive. i haven’t done much because i was told depth matters more than breadth, so i worked hard for and focused on the 5 or 6 things i did do, but i have a bad feeling about that now.

I have a feeling you’ll get into most of those. Good luck, anyway!
Ivies are always a crapshoot. I’ve applied to 6. Have spent the last 4 years of my life doing things that might help me get in, but I screwed my apps, kind of. Wrote all my essays around the 31st. I have a couple of friends at Harvard and Princeton and they liked my essays. So finger’s crossed.

Lucky you, I wasn’t told ANYTHING. I even found about CC after I was done with the applications.
I found how important SAT is in October :P

And I just did those things cz I wanted to, not cz I knew I’d apply in the US.

Found out*

Thank youuu for having that feeling. Kinda comforting.
I hope we both get into the colleges we want!
& i didn’t even have a guidance counsellor. Guidance counsellor of roots Islamabad helped me a little though. But quite heartlessly, so I don’t know about my essays either. Lol.

Carleton will only mail decision letters? No email or portal?

yes, only snail mail. :frowning: starting kalllll!
wow, my counselor was pretty qualified, but i messed things up. got too caught up in my main EC and forgot to apply to Cambridge and anywhere for EA.

I hope O level result/internal transcripts count for a lot. :D

so whats next… 23rd Chicago ? 23rd means 24th here :P

yes, yes. so excited/nervous! this’ll be my first decision ever.

got my first aid package… was not so excited with it :(

^ which college?

@usamatiwana- any acceptances so far?

none, Just a rejection from MIT.
Heard might get Lafayette’s decision tonight. fingers crossed

good luck! no UK?

fingers crossed for Uchicago and lets just forget about my aid wala college :|

Thanks, Didnt apply there, for 1 I need loads of aid, for 2 I’m not from the O/A levels background so it was kinda pointless to apply there.

haha, chalo good luck to you both Titan and alibhai for UChicago :)

@titan666- applied to Uchicago? me too! can i know your stats?
