The Official RA round results roster

ok ok :p

Like somene said, OCW is your best bet.

But it's almost masochistic... every time I watch one of the videos or read a lecture note, it reminds me of what I'll be missing...

but what the hell.. ;)

"I put so MUCH effort in applying, I put 16 years of my difficult life, and I will never, never forgive rejection."

everyone does honestly

yeah stardragon, it will wear off itself once you're settled at another college of your choice. MIT just wasn't for us, maybe Princeton or Harvard is ;) (H is better, then we can cross-register mwahahaha)

Maybe that's why the idea of shash-rao is suitable for us, rejectees.

I agree mercuary, but getting in Har or Pton is also a problem :)

I know what that feels like.
Don't be sad.

I try......

I love rejections. They tell you you're absolutely no good at anything.

Luckily for my family, my son was accepted with a full ride. Imagine that.

Rudess:

I am from Panama but I am currently studying the IB in the U.S. Where are you from?

Tell me, what do you have a BA in? Sounds as though you're views are very akin to US foreign policy

I love rejections. They tell you you're absolutely no good at anything.

Yeah.. you understand that you're nothing in this world.

"Rudess:

I am from Panama but I am currently studying the IB in the U.S. Where are you from?"

I'm from Mexico, and I do the IB in Mexico too :)

Got my letter today :)

well shash and merc, if you are really serious then i am joining in...
creating communities at orkut, or other boards won't do much except giving us another opportunity to rant there's one thing for sure we can do, submit a plan of action and then follow it closely...i made one last year but much of it came to a standstill(awatech.net) when i started more time thinking and lesser doing real work....so bad grades...less devotion to other work...stuck in something of a quagmire...if you are serious ...then i cant wait till the end of june( when i am off from exams)

Good Luck! april's coming closer....

[li]Nothing major too, but pretty well-rounded. ECs in journalism, academics, community service and the performing arts.[/li][] Awards ranged from regional-national stuffs, but pretty well-rounded too. I have won in journalism, science and math competitions. No Intel, RSI, IMO, IPO for me because 8 months ago, I never knew it existed. (Not that I would've won if I knew ;))

Subjective:
[ul]
[]Essays: stupid, stupid
[]Teacher Recs: Both mediocre, but I think MIT would understand. (first applicant to the US from school, so first time teachers would write such recs too.) One said I was the best in Math and Science and I've bagged awards, the other said I'm "highly intellectual" and good in MS and English. But that's it.
Well OK, they weren't that bad, but lack any sign of sensationalism.
[]Counselor Rec: Mediocre too.
[]Interview: Waived
[]Hook (if any): first applicant to the US from school, decided for myself, way more intellectually inclined than the people around me. Apparently, none worked.

Oh well, come April Fool's Day, come.

Any other comments: To the incoming Juniors out there, start early. Download the class of 2010 application as soon as it’s available, and fill it out. Review them a few months later so that when the real thing comes, you have learned a good deal. Good luck!
