The Official UCB Fall of 2014 Decisions Thread

I believe scholarships and admissions are separate…so I wouldn’t worry.

And I didn’t get one either.

@kio3063‌
I got in and I still didn’t get one yet. So don’t worry about it predicting your acceptance.

@Loyshi How do you know you got in already?

@JYtransfer he did the summer session trick.

That actually works? lol

@JYtransfer‌
I signed up summer session. Got Calnet ID. Saw my financial aid from berkeley. Plus it said that I can only sign up for their Warnme after I SIR

@Loyshi Oh congratulations!

@Loyshi‌ you did not get it ?! Oh…god…I thought that people who get accepted received the email.
As you didn’t get it, it is not a sign right?! #:-S

BTW Congratulations!! May I ask you your gap and major?!

@kio3063 Did you apply to International Development Studies at UCLA? The program is impacted there. Development studies at UCB falls under the department of Interdisciplinary studies, which has the second highest admit rate for the College of L&S (only behind Arts and Humanities). Don’t lose hope!

@bookham I too am a chemical biol hopeful. Just got rejected from UCLA couple days ago so I’m not putting my hopes up for UCB. GPA is 3.93 at this time…and completing all of my prereqs in spring except for two ochem courses which I hope to get done in summer. Am an avid advocate of the Alzheimer’s association and helped lead a yelp team in vegas which raised over $5000 for research. On top of that, I’ve been volunteering almost every Saturday at an Alzheimer’s facility for the past 4 years.

Been even more nervous since the UCLA decision. Don’t know if I still stand a chance for ucb.

@squashbanana Congrats on UCLA! If Cal doesn’t work out, I’ll see you in classes :)

@kio3063‌
Nvm, I just got it. Just kidding. =)) Yes. I didn’t get it. Therefore, I don’t think there’s a correlation between email and acceptance.

Major: Mathematics, probably switching to statistics though
GPA: 3.660

@smashley93‌ I applied to Asian Studies (admitted GPA was 3.5-3.6 and rate was over 50%). I have 3.8-3.9 but I got rejected hahahahaha…Of course, I did my best for personal statement and completed IGETC.

Thank you for your kind words. I really hope to get accepted from UCB… My last chance… [-O<

@kio3063 I’m on the same boat. Got rejected on Friday and am on the edge of my seat for ucb.

@smashley93‌ I heard that UCB considered L&S applicants without their major. Why do they have difference rates with the department of Interdisciplinary studies and Arts & Humanities??

@kio3063 I’m so sorry to hear that! If I were you, I would call admissions Monday. It’s possible that someone will be willing to give you a reason.

@Loyshi‌ Don’t kill me =;

You are my lifesaver kkkk but you should not get any email from UCB until the day, 4/25.

@smashley93‌ Okay! I will call admission Monday. Is there any possible to change the decision? kkkk

@Kirsmm‌ Go bears ! I am dying now… How can I wait until friday…
