Hi! I’ve been recently accepted to both colleges and I can’t decide which one will be a better fit for me. I’m planning on majoring in Architecture with a minor in History. I’ve been accepted to the honors college at Pitt and I’ve been given a small scholarship, but I’m an OOS student so it doesn’t really help as much as I wish. For OSU, I’ve always felt like its been home and I’m instate, but their program doesn’t offer a historic preservation aspect like Pitt. I’m not entirely sure if Architecture is the right path for me, but I think its probably where I’ll excel the most. I know this is a decision that I have to make, but I just really need to see this from the viewpoint of others and kinda take a step back if that makes any sense? I’m thankful for any advice. :))
Depends upon the cost difference and how committed you are to majoring in historic preservation.
@publisher Pitt is going to be ~$15,000 more expensive a year and historic preservation is something i’m interested in now, but I’m not sure if it’s something that I should really do because there’s not really a ton of jobs available in that field.
If money matters at all to your family:
Pitt will cost you (actually your parents) $60K more for 4 years, or $75k if a 5 year program.
How do the two colleges differ in architectural majors, are they 5 year and how is the 5th year funded?
Can you go to OSU without any debt?
