It is a perfectly good list. Where is the full list?

Thanks for posting this. I saw it earlier today and laughed out loud.

Their perfectly fine libraries have the same books as the Ivy League libraries; who knew?

Go FIU!

They were on the list numerous times (and I think #3 on the overall list?)!!

Here’s a companion article, for anyone wanting inside tips to stand out in applying to colleges. ;)

<a href=“The Onion’s Tips For Applying To College”>http://www.theonion.com/articles/the-onions-tips-for-applying-to-college,34774/

Thanks, HImom! My first belly laugh of the day :))

I would love to see the list! Where can I find that?

If you watch the video, there are glimpses. I think that’s all there is. It is a parody. ;)

I love the Onion so much.

LOL!

I love the questionnaire" to assist students"…

Do you think your mother and I are millionaires?

Does any one school have a copyright on IVY?

What can you learn at Harvard that you can’t learn closer to home?

Couldn’t you see yourself hanging out under this big tree?

Do you want to take out a bunch of loans and drown in debt, after you graduate, just so you can have a fancy name on your diploma?

and my favorite:

After all your father and I have done for you, you want to abandon us?

=)) =)) =))

So funny! When my parents chose our childhood home they picked a location where their three children: one in elementary school, one in Junior High, and one starting college would be close enough to walk, ride a bike, or take the bus to school. It worked out “just fine” for them.

So disappointed that my state colleges didn’t make the list. . . maybe next year ;)

I certainly was happy to be able to take the subway from my folks’ house to the local public university. Worked out well enough.

And the most hilarious part of this story is that more than one school will miss the obvious parody, Of course, the “list” of the Onion is barely more comical than the Mother Teresa rankings and other Vedder and Washington Monthly crappy attempts at listing the “best colleges.”
