On the paper version, I read something on the lines of: "students usually respond in two to three double spaced pages." Mine, double-spaced, is one page. Do you guys think I should write more?

yeah.... definately... how can you write a freaking COLLEGE ESSAY in a page DOUBLE SPACED?!

If it's really good then i imagine one page is fine. Don't try and add on unnecessary words. Maybe have your english teacher or friend read it and see if it's TOO concise.

My essay was only about 3/4 of a page single spaced, but I know it's good so I'm not worried about how long it is. I think if you're happy with what you've written, you should keep it. I'm no expert, but I would think quality is more important than quantity.

Thanks for the replies :-)
I have a conference with my English teacher scheduled tomorrow. I'm pretty much satisfied with what I've written, but I think I'll write a longer version, too, and show both versions to my teacher.

I think that mine was right at two pages double spaced.

i've asked an AO before. he says less than two page, double spaced. and try to make it short.

Mine was 2.5 pages, double spaced and 970 words. I hope that wasn't too long. I really liked it though, it was about my mission trip to Africa last summer.
