Has anyone heard what the living arrangements will be like in the new dorm? Is anyone going to request it?

What is it like? I think that New House has the best arrangements

i know its on F street - just a block or so away from thurston and mitchell...but other than that i haven't been able to come across much information. does anyone know if its going to have more singles/doubles/quads, etc? also, will each individual room have its own bathroom (like the other dorms on campus)?

grapkoski - have you heard about the LLCs in the Potomac House?

What school did you get accepted to? ESIA or CCAS? or something different? arent there like 1000 kids in thurston? the question is, would that be a good thing or a bad one.

ESIA...thurston is the main social center for freshmen (hence its large freshmen population). i was just wondering if anyone had heard info about the new dorm since the GW website won't post anything about it until it is completed (which should be soon). congrats on your acceptance.

I'm all for the Potomac House. I don't think I'm much of a partier, to say the truth.

Unfortunanetly for me, I am a partier, however the BA/JD program requires that you have a 3.7 so I think that potomac house seems like a good choice. Did you look at New Hall? The quad layout looks good

At this moment in time there is not much information on the Potomac House and LLC information hasn't been released, but look for it coming up soon! Early March CLLC should release that information and the housing app should open mid-March. As always any more questions, feel free to ask and I will see what I can do for answers. I also invite everyone to surf the MySpace group http://groups.myspace.com/gw2010 and join Facebook (college edition; instructions to create your email account are on the myspace group, only if your deposit has been coded!)

For those asking about the new Potomac House dorm, here's a little more information. It is located on F St. near Thurston Hall which is the largest freshman dorm. It will have 379 beds, mostly doubles. Two rooms will be connected by a private bath, suite style. So four students will be sharing a bathroom. There will be a common room on the first floor, I would guess there would be a common kitchen as well for student use. I would also think that each room would contain some combination of microwave and fridge or microfridge as all other freshman rooms have these. And there is also to be some type of food venue on the ground floor. Of course everything will be brand new and it sounds quite nice. To read the entire article: www.gwhatchet.com will get you to the internet version of the school news paper.

thanks for the info, CelloMom!

^^ agreed. CelloMom, you always have the best info! Thanks a ton!
