The Princeton Review?

If I recieved moderately high scores on the SAT, will a Princeton Review group course help me raise my score by about 200 points?

I got a:
Math: 620
Reading: 720
Writing: 720
Total: 2060

My target score is a 2200. I've never previously taken any course nor have I been tutored for the SAT. If I take a group course, wouldn't it be directed towards kids who have scored lower than I have? Meaning, wouldn't I have already covered all the basic techniques?

Thanks!

^Most likely. Save your money, buy RR.

I agree. I think that all you really need to do for math is actually learn the math! You don't need a course to do this. Get Gruber's which I think is good for math (if you can get it from the library, do that, because you don't need the whole book). Actually, if you can find a specific book for math, I think that's a good idea. If you ace the math you would have boosted your score 180 points, and you can definitely do this, because you have all year, assuming you're a junior.

For reading, I guess you should go over your old practice tests and think about how to improve. I always suggest reading newspapers and magazines, because that helps with reading skills. But I would be fine with a 720. That is something to be proud of.

Same with writing. What mainly detracted from that score? Was it sentence corrections or the essay? You can work on those specifically either by learning more grammar or working on the essay.

You have a lot of time to work on this. You don't need a prep course.

I would think if you do the small group tutoring option, that would be helpful.
