Princeton Review course?

does anyone know how good this course is in terms of raising your score above 2200+ range?

not too good

from what I've heard, don't bother with it unless you're scoring below 2000

I agree. I took the class and it was awesome for me because I had an 1800..but if you're looking to score above a 2200 like you say, it's all a matter of getting 1 or 2 answers..which I think just takes practice. If you don't want to take the course, the best advice I can give is to take as many practice tests that you can and understand the ones you got wrong.

I took the class with a 2050 diagnostic score, and it has helped me immensely. Obviously I don't know my SAT score yet as I just took it last weekend, but I am expecting around a 2150. My friend who took the May administration also used Princeton Review, and she raised her score from a 2060 to a 2300. I would recommend it...

I would also recommend it...along with studying on your own of course. I raised mine from a 1960 to a 2210

honestly it didn't help me at all

I wouldn't take it if you're already scoring that high, they won't be able to tell you anything significant other than to just take practice tests and learn from your mistakes, and you don't need to pay up to/almost/more than 1k to know that :)

I am taking the Princeton Review course this August for the SAT in October. I hope it helps because I am not a very good test taker.

What scores do you have now?

Yeah, I think it's worth it.

I took the class and on my recent May SAT, just got my score in the mail yesterday. Forget my online ID.

I got 2350. :)

my first two tries- 1870 and 1920. It is a 410 point increase!!!!!!!!

I think it was very helpful and I did a lot of studying on my own. And I completed all the homework and stuff, etc.

I bought Grammatix, read it cover to cover- Mildly useful

Use the SAT Online Course by collegeboard- Did the diagnostic test and hmm, did most of the quizes

And here is what my score was at every step, I use the pratice test in the blue book to estimate.

My first pratice test without any sort of preping after the 2nd SAT was--- 1910 :(

After reading Grammtix and using the SAT Online Course in about a month and half, I took another one, my math section actually dropped , but my overall improved to 2010. I feel like grammix really needs to be fully understood for it to work.

Then I went to PR review, diagnostic- 2040
Then I completed every single HW assignment, took notes in class, and really studied them.
I ended the class with 2320.

Then I bought a Kaplan book for Adavnce Testers, then read that, took two pratice tests, and got a 2350 on the May SAT.

Time Spent- 3 month.
Total Cost- $1203
Point Increase- 410

Hope that helps.

WOW that is an awesome increase. Nice job. You definitely worked it!!!

It really depends on the instructor. Go the first week and see how the instructor is, if you don't like him/her then drop the course and get your refund (I forget the limit on that).

Haha thanks, just realized I made a mistake, it was a 430 increase, its been a long day...:)
