The Recreation Center

I never got a chance to see the Rec Center during Orientation...what kind of weight and cardio equipment do they have?

I'm assuming they have at least the basics like: Olympic sized barbells, plates that go up to 45lbs, bench, dumbbells (up to 100lbs), squat racks, treadmill, and elliptical machines.

they have about 4 NCAA basketball courts. and a lot of machines. hockey rink about 12 outside b ball courts. a football/soccer field. You could nt see much cause they had us in the basketball area

What about free weights?

like I said I they had us locked in the bball area so we could see any thing in detail

They have olympic bars, axle bars, fat bars, trap bars, Safet squat bar, etc.

They have iron plates and olympic plates as well. I believe the DBs went up to 140s.

They have 3 squat bars and 1 smith machine. They have like 10 benches, and 6 small benches that u can move where the DBs are at. They have a lot of cardio equipment.

Also, if you are familiar with powerlifting they have reverse hypers and GHRs from westside, i believe. They have chains too.

Exactly what max_da said.

Over summer session I went there on a daily basis, there is always a machine or benchpress open for you to use. Just make sure you bring a towel, they are pretty uptight about that.

thanks for the replies

damn…1 smith machine, is there such thing as peak hours at the rec center? At my local gym right now I have it perfectly timed so I don’t go to a packed gym.

Starting at 4 all the way through 7

I’ll be hitting it up to not have freshman 15

haha Ill probably go but ill hit up the one s in the dorms first
