The Rejects Corner

haha wait okay so main you just called the film school and asked: i was wondering if you accepted me or rejected me.... here's my USC id lol I want to call too but I want to make sure I phrase it the right way in case i dont get someone as nice lol.

postal: you still haven't heard yet?? wow that's crazy, i hope you get in! :]

wow u guys are still on this site! <- dedication... USC should know about this...

They should know about this! haha

I stopped going to the forums of colleges that I did not get into on the day I found out the result.. lol

haha well i haven't been on in a while, but i mean i had to ask main about his whole film school situation... and it sucks cause no one even talks on the Chapman forums :[

I know; i'ts like we're addicted regardless to this forum. I still have hope, though.

what i find hilarious is that this thread has the most views out of any of the threads on the first page lol

When are appeals due? this monday right?

Yes, they are due tomorrow, the 9th.

I wish there was a way to appeal my film school decision....it's either try to transfer next year or go somewhere else....you've got the opposite problem...good luck!

Yes, it's absolutely ridiculous. Chappa, did they send you your decision already, from the film school, that is?

yes, I got a nice letter directly from Cinematic Arts admissions saying Congratulations on getting into USC!, but you unfortunately were not accepted into the film school.....the letter said I could always try again later as an internal transfer and good luck.......I got into LMU production and UCLA Art...kind of a hard decision for me now....

i'm anxious to see if i got into the film school like main did... if i did... i really hope they accept my appeal :], ahh i'm nervous lol

chappa: no worries you will succeed wherever you are ;]

thanks scarlet....i really hope they accept your appeal...but if they don't the first time don't give up...my friend went to SMU her freshman year and transferred into Critical studies as a sophmore..she loves CS cause she can take just about all the same classes, and her time at SMU, sorrority rush, crazy Texans, partying etc. gave her a really great story idea that she wrote into a screenplay that she's shopping around now....somehow things always work out....my spring break starts this week and so I'm going to crash for a week and just pick one after...(maybe flip a coin and drive my parents nuts....lol)...i know what you mean about nervous..this whole thing has been nerve wracking....but not getting in film school at USC right away might turn out to be one of those lucky things for both of us....i always try to look on the bright side.. :)

same goes for you main!

thanks chappa, you're right, i always used to look at the bright side... lately i've been on the negative side, but i need to start being optimistic again... i really hope that everything falls into place; maybe... getting into USC as a transfer and getting into production will make it more fufilling... like it'll be a relief and it'll mean so much more because I had to work harder for it... i dunno lol

first year is just mostly GE's anyway....don't worry it if you don't get in now...the more you try the more chance you'll get in and I was reading somewhere that CS just about recruits second years like they need them or something...like they have lots of openings later...so don't get hung up on production although i was...somebody wrote a thread that said nobody asks which major at film school you took when you graduate......it sure seems like they're testing us though and i do think it makes things more fullfilling when it's harder but enough is enough sometimes....lol

Once again, clearly, SAT scores have nothing to do with admission...

it's almost like,if you have high test scores and just a decent gpa, then F YOU! lol...esp cause i think if you scored in the top 5-10% of students nationwide, you would THINK you would be in the top 25% of students applying to USC.
