yeah same here

By the way the COOP is still incredibly expensive....so now instead of getting a sweatshirt for $40 you can get it for $36! lol

Word.

But the COOP has some nice t-shirts, like the one with the Maxwell's Equations.

"Let there be light!"

Aw I lost the COOP card already!

I got too excited :o

Mine looks exactly like that.

Yeah the coop discount does suck, especially since it can only be used online (at least that's what the guy told me when I tried to use it).

My mom ended up spending $200.00 Saturday. I only got a hoody, t-shirt, lanyard, and beaver stuffed animal (TIM rocks! :P)... the rest of the crap my mom bought for family and the such.

Oh yeah I also got a mug for my guidance counselor and science teacher/coach. They helped!

I must go buy more soon.

if you're going to be at MIT during CPW, there is a 15% discount at the coop then, and the selection is much better.

Well, I want to get something for my teachers and possibly parents :)

Ah, yes, the COOP. You really hate it when you end up spending $500 to get your books from there. (Hint: go to Quantum ;) )

That admissions package looks the same as it was for our year!

"Hint: go to Quantum"

Hey mit2007mit, can you provide some info about Quantum please?
I just got admitted to MIT and I have no clue what the hell that is.
A bookstore? An online marketplace?

Quantum is a bookstore in Kendall Square. The prices (at least to me) seem comparable to The Coop. For books, I went online to Half.com and got some great prices heh

Comparable? I guess if you count $30 dollar discounts as comparable. It isn't the same large discount for every book, but I have NEVER seen the prices higher there than at the coop. Tip for book-buying would be to go there first, then stop at the coop for any leftovers..

Yeah, and as thamaster39 said, it is a bookstore in kendall square. It isn't obvious when you're approaching from on campus, but it is right around the corner.
