~berurah

Thanks so much Splashmom, and Berurah!

Berurah, I really appreciate your being bright enough to do this in BROWN . . .I was gonna try to do a crash course in colors but I was too excited about getting this message typed!!!

Mo3: Yay and hurray! Brown's a terrific place...wish it had sparked my S's interested; I love it! (Too bad I'm not the one who gets to pick!)...Major congrats...w/my S having just chosen Cornell, I'm feeling a particular affinity to all the Ivies...we're really excited for you...congrats again!

momofthree Once again....Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brown is a wonderful school. It sounds like he really put a lot of thought into his decision and I'm sure that means he made the right choice!!!!

MomofThree, congrats!!! Some of us were hoping he would pick Brown!! Congrats to your son...hope his sis is taking it well.

I called it! I called it! Lucky S! Congrats to all!

Thanks so much folks! I just showed my son these sweet messages, and he very much appreciates your concern and interest.

Overanxiousmother, we are so happy about this. I never thought seriously about Ivies being in the realm of possibility, being a real liberal arts types, smaller college girl, but my S is up for some adventure, more than I ever was. I think it may be an adventure of a lifetime, especially since he has lived his whole life in a rural southern tiny town!

Andi, I tried to PM you but I think you've got lots of messages in your mailbox! I think this is a great decision, but it was hard for my son to send those decline messages to the other places. Swat, I think, was the toughest, perhaps because it was the best known, and so high in his sister's esteem! I think Brown is really a better fit for him, and time will tell. I would NEVER have wanted to follow in my older sister's footsteps!

Achat, thanks for all of your comments in the "reading my kid's mind" days. It is good to have a clarity here, even if it means my only other visit to Swat is to go to D's wedding!

Congratulations! I know how difficult this was as he had some great choices. Isn't it a relief to have the decision made and be finished worrying about it. And several days early. Congrats again.

Momofthree, I must admit that my heart froze when I saw the name of your thread. "Still sorting! Oh no!" I said to myself. But then I was thrilled to hear he picked BROWN! Hurray! All the best to him!

Carolyn, Oh my! I did not mean to scare you with my ambiguous title!! Especailly when we have finally gained clarity!!

Thanks to all of you for your kindness. I am feeling such a huge sigh of relief, along with a certain poignant awareness that this is really REAL now.

It wasn't the sorting hat, it was that Brown hat he bought while visitng that did it!

Congrats!

Congrats! And isn't it such a relief when they finally decide??!!

momofthree - and a little sadness for the ones that got away. I do understand.

Love the Harry Potter reference!

Congratulations! I'm so glad the decision is made and you can breathe a sigh of relief. (did you withhold food?) The best of luck to sonofthree in his new adventure at Brown.

Now it's time to buy those extra long sheets and figure how to transport everything to Rhode Island!

momofthree~

I was SO excited to be able to do that post in brown for BROWN!!!

My son also applied to Brown, but was waitlisted. I think it is an awesome school, and I just know your son will have the most fabulous time there! Isn't it just the most surreal feeling to actually have this decision made!? Once again, CONGRATS!!! ~b.

Momofthree,

I am so excited for your son. He is about to have 4 incredible years! Congratualtions!!
