omg, i am dying. i have never hated anything more than this waiting.
everyone i know has already decided and here i am waiting. they all think i am stupid for not commiting to a school. one friend got into honors at uga and another is going to vandie. and here i am praying for either wm or unc.
and both are a long shot!

Yeah, most of my friends have at least a good idea of where they are going. I'm also sick of every adult I've seen in the last six months asking me where I'm going. My friend came up with the idea of business cards detailing your status at every college you applied to so you can answer those people quickly.

Does your friend live in GA? I got into UGA too, but didn't apply for Honors because I got into Tech, so I know I won't be going to UGA. It's a good school overall though; very excellent business school and music school.

I'm so nervous!

that sounds way too familiar, believe me. especially b/c all my friends did ED and have known for months where they're going? and why does no one believe you when you say you won't find out till april 1st? i have a teacher who asks me about every three days (since january) whether i've heard from anywhere. i mean, it's nice that people are interested, but it just makes the waiting worse.

business cards are a good idea. or maybe a t-shirt w/ all the colleges you've applied to on it, and you keep it updated w/ checks beside the ones you're into? we need some kind of system, that's all i know. :p

i really hope the wm letter comes soon! checking the mail has never been such an emotional roller coaster...

If I could give one piece of college admissions advice to all the juniors out there reading this post, it would be this: Make absolutely sure that you apply to at least one safety school with rolling decision, and do so early on in the year. That way when you are waiting for all of the other schools with April 1 decisions you can at least know that you're in somewhere. I really wish I had done that, I think I would have taken my senior year a lot slower if it had not been one giant year of waiting. Good Luck everyone!
