The top ten college sports towns according to SI

Some people do care about sports so I thought I would post this list.

<a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/sioncampus/09/10/top_ten0916/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/sioncampus/09/10/top_ten0916/index.html</a></p>

I am sure other schools have similar attributes. Michigan for one.

Yeah, I'd add Ann Arbor for sure. But happy to see Mad City at the top. I've been to 8 of the 10 places, and this article gives a good set of reasons why each is a great sports venue.

yes, but if you were in ann arbor you would be sooo sad this week...... Go Buckeyes!!! :-)

True, but not as sad as the supporters of other major sports school in Michigan. At least UM will go to a pretty serious bowl, and in a warm weather location at that. Around where I live two favorite bumper stickers (used to be): "M Go Blow" and "O How I Hate Ohio State."

Yeah, we're bummed here in Ann Arbor, but we're also used to it. Michigan football breaks your heart just about every year, although sometimes they'll wait until the bowl to do it! LOL

Michigan has a pretty intense hockey following, something that some of the other towns listed do not have. But the list seems pretty sound.
